We booked a trip to Brazil for last February but we cancelled. I sent $300 for an apartment in Salvador. We’re going to Brazil next month and I’m undecided if we should go there or to another city.

Here are the options:

Salvador

Pros:

- We don’t lose another $150

- # 1 when it comes to the flat. It is my favorite so far. It has everything I need. It’s perfect. # 2 would be Fortaleza

- The city is # 1 when it comes to food. The best cuisine.

- The place faces this street that is one of the most famous places in the city, making it # 1 when it comes to nightlife. Everything is a few feet from the building we’ll be staying, bars, restaurants, etc.

Cons:

- It doesn’t face any beach. The beaches are far away, meaning we’ll need a 15 min cabride or busride each way to go everyday spend the day there.

- The neighborhood we’re staying is the most dangerous when comparing to the neighborhood we’d be staying in the other cities.

$$$$$$$ 450 + bus/cab everyday + entertainment expenses

Fortaleza

Pros:

- # 1 when it comes to the building we’ll be staying. It’s safe, it has beach view, restaurant, gym :D # 2 would be Salvador

- It’s the most visited beach, not only by Brazilians but by europeans. That’s the place most people in Brazil would tell me to go, because it is complete, it has everything and it’s beautiful with gorgeous clean beaches.

- We can walk a few blocks everywhere, to the beach, restaurants, bars, supermarket, everywhere.

- It's the best one when it comes to daily entertainment, in contact with nature.

Cons:

- We lose another $ 150

$$$$$$$ 420 + entertainment expenses

Natal

Pros:

- We can walk a few blocks everywhere, to the beach, restaurants, bars, etc.

- #1 when it comes to the beaches. They're the most beautiful, the cleanest, and then there’s the famous dunes, it’s a paradise. # 2 would be Fortaleza

Cons:

- We lose another $ 150

$$$$$$$ 230 - 560 + entertainment expenses I haven’t decided on the place yet, my favorite would be $ 560, my second favorite would be half of that, but they don’t have anything, like we’d need bedding, towels, etc, it’s very simple in a small building.

I chose Salvador since that's where I would really like to....and you have an apt, so why not?

But I've heard that Fortaleza and Natal are amazing cities too, so no matter where you go you'll have a fun time! Enjoy....
