Well I am new to this site and this is my first post. I thought maybe some of you who have been through it all or are on your way may be able to help me to make sence of alot of the headache that comes with hours and hours of conflicting information from gov. sites.

My story :

I have a father who was married at the time of my birth in the USA ... he was born bread and has always lived in the USA.

I have a Mother that is a Uk Citizen although at the point of my Birth she also had residence in the USA.

I have 2 brother and 1 sister all who are born US Citizens and how all live in the US.

Firstly My father never regester me as a birth abroad and I have never filed for a passport or anything from the US.

I am now wanting to live closer to my family out there and I am the only one of us left in the uk. I am also now married with 2 children and am 27yrs old.

I have worked out that I have aged out of one process but can claim my US Citizenship still by aquisition of citizenship. I found how to do this ... by making an appointment to report a birth abroad at the embassy and then ... going along with all aquired paperwork and proof ect.

Q1 : I have to prove my father resided in the US for 10yrs before I was born. I have a Naval Discharge form which covers about 6yrs of that and a Divorce Decree which covers another year.... But what else can I use ? What if I or my dad cannot find anything .. will they help ?

Q2: Has anyone else had to do this and has any advice as I am lost ?

Secondly

I after sorting all of this mess out with my own right ... ( which I have checked and double checked and we meet all the requirements .. it is just proving them ) I then want to Sponcer my Uk Husband out with me ... we want the quickest possible method from this side of the ocean. I need him to be able to work as soon as he gets there as he genraly is the bread winner and I have always been at home with the kids. Plus he has a much better chance of a job on the otherside due to his career. I also need him to come over the same time as me ... as thats just the way we want to do it.

I have looked at the different ways and visas and forms ... but what is the quickest ?

I know we are all in a rush ... but to be honest ... I have been trying to sort this out for years ... I miss my brothers and sister so so much and just want to be able to pop down the road to see them instead of saving for big holidays once a year if I am lucky.

I know I can go the I-130 ... AOS and EAD at the same time if I am over there with him .. but I am scared it will be illegal to go over there to do the paperwork.

Over here I do not know which way to do it as I have been told most of what I know by my brother and he only knows the US way.

What do you all think I should do. What have you done ? How Long ? How much ect. ?

Thankyou so much for any help

Debbie

School records?

CR1 would be the way to go via what is called Direct Consular Filing on this site.

You will need a US address and a co sponsor, use your family.

My story :

I have a father who was married at the time of my birth in the USA ... he was born BRED and has always lived in the USA.

If you were born in the US, that should make you a US Citizen, w/o regard to the status of your parents.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

I read it that she was not born in the US.

I read it that she was not born in the US.

I read it the other way.......TIME OF MY BIRTH IN THE USA.....etc.

I guess she should tell us where she was born.

I can see how you read it that way.

Perhaps we will never know.
