Hi, all of your answers are so helpful! It makes it so much easier for us when Omar arrives. This is the timeline from the parts I remember, the most important dates of the application for the K-1 and the interview dates. I had to type it out, I can't find the place on the site to edit and post my timeline. Thank you all for sending me the info and the links to the AOS process!!!!----Karena

Congrats on your visa approval!

As for your Timeline, there are two things you can do: one is to fill in a separate Timeline page, so people can see every detail in the process when they click on "My Timeline" (it is under your country flag on the left when you post things); second thing is to attach a "signature", that means it comes automatically at the bottom of every post you write on Visa Journey.

To fill in a Timeline page: Find the "My Assistant" tab at the upper right side of this page (Look for the tabs that start with "My Controls", and click on "Edit/Add my Timeline") You will be prompted where to fill in the details. (I see you already filled some of that out, but complete it now because it says your country is Armenia!)

Under the same "My Assistant" tab, there is "Edit my Signature", you can fill in info there. You can always add or delete info from your signature whenever you want!

Good luck for coming soon to USA and starting the AOS process here!

Karena,

I hope you are able to get in touch with your fiance soon.

I wanted to add something about having extra, CERTIFIED copies of documents. At the interview, they take all the multiple copies of the the documents, and give the fiance/e a large sealed envelope (presumably containing documents) to present upon arrival in US. But NONE of these are returned at any point ... my fiance is here now but we may be missing some important documents for his AOS! We made regular xerox copies of some of them, but I am unsure of what the requirements are.

When we went to get his driver's license, they wanted a certified birth certificate in addition to his passport, OR a marriage license. Since we only have xerox copies of his birth certificate, we now have to wait til after our wedding to get his driver's license.

And we haven't even got to his SSN# applicaton or AOS yet ... we've been super busy with his classes starting and our wedding this Sunday. But the lesson is, get certified copies of everything and don't expect that anything will be returned. We didn't fully understand that :(

Good luck and let us know how it goes! BTW, it is also possible to go from Cuba to JFK via the Bahamas.

J.Ro
