No. Not all cases of animal cruelty end up turning the person into a mass murderer. However, you have to be a certain type of person to be able to beat an animal to death with a brick, of all things.

I'm glad to say I'm not that type of person. In my spare time, rather than beating feral cats to death, I help trap them, get them neutered and re-release them into the wild. It's much more productive.

And that's all I'm going to say on this. Otherwise I might have to end up suspending myself.

Well, you're certainly quite judgmental, that's pretty obvious. And I doubt an 11 year old is considering the things you're thinking about, as an adult, more specifically, a pro animal rights adult, especially after their dad died. Wasn't like I was just hunting semi-domesticated animals when I got pissed. That was the only run in with one I had, the rest were fights with people. Thankfully, I learned from this mistake well before I was even in high school, so I'd say it takes a special person to get up on their pedestal and judge another in the manner you're doing.

Please don't use a parent dying as a reason for you killing that animal. ;) Millions of people (and children) have to go through a parent dying when they were young, yet the majority don't get so angry that they beat an animal to death with a brick.

Was I judging you in my previous post? I don't think I was, I merely said that you have to be a certain type of person to be able to beat the living sh!t out of an animal. That's all. The judgemental part was all your interpretation and says more about you than you think.

11 years olds may also be capable of committing murder on another human ...

I think it is the implication of saying "a certain kind of person" that was a bit out of character for you; and the "I am not one". It was a jab sister Mags.

to harvest an animal is one thing .... to beat the sh!t out of an animal after capturing it ... is another ...

... I was livid, since we had a mouse in a cage this cat could easily get to. I looked all around the house for the cat only to find it in my bathtub. It saw me, then as soon as I grabbed it, it #### in my tub. Grabbed it around the neck, took it out back, grabbed a brick in the other hand (we had a few lined up against the fence) and beat it to death, then threw it back out in the alley to join the rest of the feral cats.

But it DOES take a certain type of person to be able to kill an animal, or a human being, for a matter of fact - and I am not one of those. I could never harm another living animal or being, let alone kill one. Some people don't have it it them, others do - it's a fact, not a judgement. I would love for the world to be full of people who don't have it in them to hurt, kill or maim another - but I don't have that sort of control, unfortunately. :P

And no, it wasn't a jab. People here should know me well enough that I will just come out and say what I think, there are no jabs needed. If I wanted to be judgemental about SVRT then you would have all known it.

It's cool. I know you're upfront sister and so am I. Thanks for the clarification.

And indeed it would be cool if people didn't have it in them; but I believe most of us do, sadly enough.

Peace, L.

Since when do you determine who a person is? Oh thats right, you don't. Especially one you know little-to-nothing about. Indeed, that's being judgmental on your part.

And yes, I was not that upset before he died. So that is a reason. And don't try to justify my not thinking like you as an 11 year old because millions of other teens don't do it. I guarantee you teens, themselves, like you, have done things millions of other teens didn't do. So your logic doesn't fly. Nor does your lame attempt at trying to look down upon another because they don't see cats in the same light as you.

I can't believe they got in trouble for this. It was just a cat!! It's not like it was a baby, or even a dog!! Ugh.

Well, as mentioned, a cat has it in them to kill you too. They just don't possess that power. However, put a cat your size with you and we'll see. It'll maim your ### and play with you like a toy. We have large cats throughout California who certainly have done just that.

We shoot animals just for being on our property. We kill them for our clothes, to make wallets, shoes, and whatnot. This happens constantly, and to animals domesticated and around people often. I'm certainly not going to fall for being looked down upon by some animal rights nut. Nor am I going to feel bad for a lesson already learned. But I will certainly dish it back to someone who wants to be a judgmental ######.

They're all over the place. If I need to kill one I certainly will. They'd kill any of us too.

Maybe one will visit you.

Anyone else want to jump on the bandwagon? I can take numbers. :D

I think local governments should put a bounty on cats. $1 for every ten heads turned in to animal control. Be a good way for kids to earn some pocket money.
