I-130 approved

Can somebody tell me what is next step,because I am confues.I got approval for my husband on the e-mail 8/28/08 and hard copy on 9/4/08 and when I call nvc they sad me that I have to wait 4-6 weeks for pacage,can I send to them DS 3032 and paid 864 bill,and whati is bar code ond the form DS -3032 because my husband alreaady signe,I don't want waist my time becaus ewe were waiting almost one year for approval I want my husband as soon as posiible wiht me thanks

to answer ur question, u will have to wait a few days for NVC to assign a case number and a IIN number so u cud complete the remaining steps of paying AOS and IV bill. please review loto's fastest guide through NVC.

by the way,was ur case approved directly from VSC or was it transferred to CSC and then approved? i just want to know if VSC is still alive.

Approve was from vermont,and I caled and they asisgn case number but IIN I don't know

What if you are already in the USA when I-130 is approved???

First of all...congratulations to Ines.

Kstar, if you are in the USA (hopefully IN status) the I-130 just means your PETITION to apply for for an Immigrant Visa has been approved.

You will still need to have your medical and interview in your home country, after you have applied for an Immigrant Visa at NVC, and your case is completed at NVC.

If you are in the USA and plan to stay, the I-130 means nothing, and could prove more harm than good. A Petition to apply for Immigrant Visa shows "Intent to Immigrate".

When attempting to file for Adjustment of Status from a Tourist Visa, the fact that you were married and had entered an I-130, would most likely

make them think that you entered on the Tourist Visa with intent to circumvent the visa process. That intent is fraud. You would have the burden to prove

that you did not intend to stay when you entered, but something happened...and that would be more difficult because you proved intent to immigrate by the I-130.

Not impossible, but risky. If fraud is proven (if your entry is adjudicated as fraudulent) you risk a ban from the USA...possibly for life.

MANY of us, myself included, have thought ourselves wise enough to overcome this fate, but ultimately wise enough not to take the risk.
