Hi guys,

For those of you who went through Casa- how long did you wait after your packet got to Casa before you asked about your interview date? Our case was delivered on Monday to the Consulate so of course I'm rearin' to go and want to know when the date is. Should I wait a couple of weeks or write them next week or should I call next week? What should I expect? For Lynne too I think she might want to know. Thanks guys I hope you have a great week.

Sarah

Well, our case left the NVC on August 16th, but I was unable to track it via DHL. By mid-September I started emailing the consulate, trying to find out if they even received our case. All I got in response were generic K1 visa FAQs. I contacted my congressman at the beginning of October, and they were able to find out our interview date (Nov.21). Wadi received the packet about a week later....

I have no idea if contacting my congressman helped get us the interview date, or if they just helped me get communication from Casa. Either way, I'd say don't let it go too long before you hear to start asking....

Thanks Jenn,

Sounds like you had a fun time with that. I am reading to email them right now but I guess I'll wait a week. Thanks!

Hey there Sarah.

My experience with Casablanca was uggg trying ill say.

Othmane never got the package and we had to get Ted Kennedy involved to get our interview date and ask if he could physically go to the consulate and pick up the package. I waited exactly a month if i remember correctly before I got the senetor involved. Not to get you freaked out...but i would wait a few weeks.

highfives,

sarah

Hi Sarah...Good to hear that you case is moving along...we got processed very quickly...got letter from NVC at the end of January...I believe CASABLANCA got our file in the first week of February and on March 2, 06 Jamal got his packet with an interview date of March 14, 06 so it went pretty smooth for us...I hope same will happen in you case...wishing you best of luck... :luv:
