Hi, i am currently adjusting my status in New Jersey. I have been looking around and cant find a yes, but was wondering if other eyes and brains could help me. Is it possible to obtain a state ID, or a drivers liscence or any kind of identification from the state without my social security number? All of my forms I-485, I-130, I-765 are pending.

nope, most states are beginning to roll out new procedures in response to the REAL ID legislation. If you cannot provide proof of legal residence most if not all states simply will not budge. In many instances, it is not solely the SSN, but proof from DHS/USCIS that you can be here....

YMMV

Your receipt letter from USCIS is enough to be eligible for a state-issued ID or drivers' license in many states. It depends sometimes on the staff in the DMV office that you visit.

Yes this should be enough however some state like mine, CA, they dont accept this so I will just need to wait for my EAD

Nope, I already tried. If you don't have a SSN you can't do anything here in NJ.

Don't let the choices chose you, chose the choices that you want.

New Jersey employs the 6 point ID system... If you can provide evidence to equal 6 pts or more then you can

You MUST have SSN even if you can meet the 6 point requirement. I tried it here, went to different offices and the same answer.
