Hello VJ's

I have a quick questions regarding sending the packet of information (DS-230, employment letter etc.).

We had sent our packet to the NVC last week of August 29, 2008. But when I call the NVC automatic line it does not say it has received the packet. Does anyone have any idea when this updates, does it update soon as they get the packet or it updates at a later time. Tried calling the NVC operator but could not get through because operators are busy. Will the operator be able to tell me if they have received it or not?

PLEASE HELP...

I am freaking out not sure if they have received or what is causing the delay please help.

There is a thread on this forum called "DO NOT RELY ON AVR (nvc ) MESSAGES, use your best guess and be persistent".

You should call them, and also not everyone's AVR messages get updated in time. All AVR messages are being updated a few days a week, but not every day.

It takes them about a week to get to the 230 and process it, add 2 days to appear result in AVR, if it will appear there at all.

If you are worried or in a hurry, call and talk to the operator, they will give you updated current info on the status. Today they told me my 230 was reviewed and done. Yesterday I was told "being reviewed today". So you should be done next week.

It takes a while until the review the documents and once it is processed it will be entered into the AVR. Don't worry and call them before they close 12am EST or when they open which is 7am EST. Good luck.
