AOS approved but not GC yet!!!

So I had posted a story of how my husband and I had a great experience at our GC interview and that the whole process went smoothly....I SPOKE TO SOON. I need some help people.

So at our interview I was told that I was approved and my green card would be with me in around 2 weeks. The women took my travel documents as she said I didn't need them anymore. It's been 4 weeks and still haven't received anything. So I decided to call USCIS when I eventually spoke to a human being they said my case was still pending and they didn't even have a record shown that I had been for my interview. I'm really upset as not only do I not have my greencard, I can't leave to country if need be.

I don't know if this has happened to anyone or can give me advice. I live in Seattle WA

that's strange, by any chance, did you keep a copy of your appointment letter? i would make an infopass, get the agent's name who interviewed you and get to the bottom of it! You don't want to be in the black hole!hoping you hear some good news!!

  • 2 weeks later...

Thanks for all your advice people...I definitely freaked out not knowing what was happening, especially when you are so excited to hear those words "you're approved". But you will all be happy to hear that I received word from USCIS today that my card has been ordered for production, so I guess that answers all my questions and disintegrates my worries. Just got to wait for it to come through the mail now!

Thanks for your responses.
