Relax. My petition was approved in 61 days and that is blazing fast! I filed at the Vermont Service Center and it has always been faster than the CSC, but lately Vermont seems to have slowed down from what I read here. Vermont had been running 60-90 days on approvals, add at least a month to that for California. At this point, no news is good news, sorry to say.

Use this time to download packet 3 from the embassy website. Get all those documents ready, translated, etc. Then when you receive your approval allow three weeks for the visa to get to Kiev and email them at kyiviv@state.us and ask if your case has been received, reference your KEV number which you will get from the NVC. If they say it is there, call the call center and make your appointment. DO NOT wait for them to send packet 3 to your fiancee. If you do you can add a month or more to the process, probably more. My fiancee never received packet 3 but the embassy says it was mailed June 13. We have our visa in hand and no packet 3 yet! Also your fiancee can go for the medical exam now if he will be Kiev for any reason. It is good for one year as is the police certificate, so busy yourself with these things now and you will feel better and speed it up as much as possible.

Good luck

Gary

THANK YOU so much :) for the reply to my question about filing I-129F. I really appreciate it and I will tell my fiance, once he is in Kiev (anytime) then go and do medical exam and police certificate. Also we will try to download Packet 3 from the Kiev Embassy. I might ask you more questions later (if i may  ) if in need :)

Thank You,

Tatyana
