For some weird reason every time I check, the flight going there is always from Chicago, but on the way back it is JFK. I prefer JFK just because that is what I have been using and the flight is a little shorter, but so far I can't find one going out of JFK in the cheap price range. I'll try varying my dates, but I really wanted to leave around the 12th (I'm timing this for obvious female reasons, lol).

Well, if you're on something, you can keep taking it through the expected time of arrival of your Aunt, and then you have a bit of leeway. I did that every time I went because it was never the right time. I have only ever used the direct flight from Chicago route... never JFK. Actually, it's been forever since i went to JFK.

Nope, I'm not on anything and haven't been so its gotta be the right timing. Aside from that, my co-worker that is the only one who does my job besides me is gone until the 10th so I can't leave before then or there will be no one to do my job.

I only ever was on something for those trips. I know, that's bad. Hmmm. Sounsd like you're going to be in a tight spot for timing.

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.

Well, the 10th, if my calculations are right, is about the time I would be freed up to go though I want a day or two leeway. So it should work out for going around the 12th. My husband finds it amusing how I time my trips, lol. Of course it works out to his advantage.

Yeah, they always think it's funny, but then they appreciate it later.

That is WAY too much for AMM in October. Eid will be over by then.

Play with the day of the week you are leaving and returning. Try Thursday night out of JFK returning Saturday at 00:00 from Amman. Several hundred dollar difference.

Will you connect at JFK or fly directly out of there?

There is no way I can leave on a Thursday or I would try that. I have been putting Saturday as my return date. I have to connect with JFK/Chicago.

So exciting planning to visit your SO - can't wait until I am going to bring G home with me. :luv:

I'm so happy for you - have a wonderful time!!

Thankyou so much. We are working on some ideas of what to do while I am there. I just talked to his sister and we are plotting against him right now. She takes my side as he likes to mess with his siblings a lot and this makes them want to get him back, lol. Now he complains they always take my side against him, but really he brings it on himself.

I'm so excited I just have to share this with everyone. I managed to convince my work to give me the time off to go visit my husband. It will only be for two weeks, but I'll take whatever I can get. I will go next month so now I've just got to buy the ticket! This waiting has made me crazy and not seeing him for so long. He was excited when I called and told him. Thank God the ticket prices have gone down since the summer though they are still a little higher than last year.

Ohhh how exciting, I wish I could go too (actually I would go to Turkey by way of Jordan!) :jest:

Have a safe & pleasant trip and a wonderful reunion with your love! :luv: GOD Bless!
