wife requires Sponsor letter for PCC (INDIA)

hi guys. my wife just told me that to get PCC in india, they require sponsor letter. now where do i get a letter from? i just paid AOS FEE bill, and IV processing fee. and havent sent my AOS packet. what is a sponsor letter, or how does it look like? does anyone have a copy that can email me? my email is gpat1286@yahoo.com thanks so much. I need it very soon.

Gaurav wait till u get the missing doc list from NVC ...once u get that have ur wife take that to the passport office for PCC. i know a'bad passport office did not accept NOA2 for issuing a PCC, they clearly need the missing doc list or some kind of a interview letter.

Gaurav wait till u get the missing doc list from NVC ...once u get that have ur wife take that to the passport office for PCC. i know a'bad passport office did not accept NOA2 for issuing a PCC, they clearly need the missing doc list or some kind of a interview letter.

this is so different..my wife just got a PCC from the Chandigarh passport office and she wasnt asked for any letter..she filled out a form, paid Rs.300 fee and got her PCC in the evening. she did the same thing for her local police station...she was asked a few questions from the DSP in her local town about why she needed this and my name and my profession...thats all..

now she has to get one from gurgaon and i hope thats not complicated.

Gaurav- have ur wife contact someone who knows these police officers in surat...that will help...they dont need any sponsorship...just tell them that u need a clearence certificate. u have to first go the local secratariat (court) and they get everything done for u...u dont even have to go to the police station (atleast thats how its done in gurgaon)

Gaurav,

Make a PDF of notice of approval and NAO1 and email it to your wife.

Let her print it.

That should work.

Or you can wait till you get the interview letter.

Getting PCC in India is so confusing, each district has their own rules, cmnb what took your wife just 1 day, took me almost a month to get.

You are right silent.

My wife (then my fiancee had to wait for police clearence for 3 months in Jammu. At that time the J & K darbar was in Srinagar (summer time) and she had to send someone to Srinagar and pay a bribe of INR 3,000.

But PCC at Jammu was a piece of cake.

No need for sponser letter for getting PCC.My wife got PCC from passport office in hyderabad just by paying fees and from local police station even before NVC process started.

A'bad office would always asks some stupid things to many people before issuing PCC. You may want to use James's shortcuts to create DS-230 Coversheet, and DS-230 checklist from mumbai consulate. You don't have to exact change barcode but tell your wife to show these papers as a proof to receive PCC.

Hey guys I am not yet in NVC but collecting all the required documents. My wife has recieved her one PCC from police station, does she still need another one from passport office? Since she is currently living in Hyderabad shouldnt than one PCC be enough because the passport office and local police office supposed to be same as both are in Hyderabad.

Another twist in my case is she lived mostly in Saudi Arabia as a resident(citizen of India through parents) So I suppose we would need one PCC from Jeddah. And if we do need 2 PCC from India than how do we have 2 PCC from Saudi Arabia since she is not a citizen of Saudi to get PCC from Saudi Passport office.
