Happy Friday everybody! I missed yesterday so I pray everybody is doing well.

I am glad to hear that Hazem is doing better!!!

I missed yesterday as well. Nour had her specialist appointment and she was a wreck. Poor little monkey. She cried the entire time during the barium swallow and then they did another exam on her all while they had her strapped into a little chair. :( I felt so helpless. Needless to say I took her home and spoiled her to death :) She slept on and off all day and night. She seems a lot better this morning. We will not know results for a few days. isA all is well.

Terrie :) Thanks for asking I just read the Thursday thread! (F)

My middle son had that done and also he had a gastric emptying exam for reflux. It's sad how they have to be strapped in while you just stand there and watch. I hope whatever they are looking for comes out ok. She is such a sweetie pie to look at :)

That is great news Kelly. I hope it works out for you guys!

Your cost of living must be much more where you and Nawal are because that would break the bank where we live. Most private sitters here will charge about 25-30 a day for an infant.

It's crazy here now and I know we are nothing compared to Chicago, NYC or LA areas. I checked one place (very nasty) and they wanted 350 for both (i'd never leave them there) and the others want about 200 per baby (they are giving us a discount for two) WTH!!! It would be crazy here for us with the twins! I'd be working to pay the sitter... so thank god my hubby is home days with them. I'm moving to where you are! Where are u?

tasha, standard of living in chicago is ridiculous..minimum wage is 7.75$ which i think is much higher than most states..a regular day care is about 70$ per day for one child...

for example...

gas is 3.89 a gallon

milk is 3.59 a gallon

cigs are 6.50 a pack

its just ridiculous..so i guess 7$ an hour isnt that bad for this lady...and she will only have him about 3-4 hours a day...

my best advice to you tasha and annie, when your hubbys start working...let them work overnights...if sofyans job wasnt sooo convienent with working/driving with my dad, etc....he would work overnights too

We are in Ohio, 45 minutes north of Cincinnati. That's good your husband is at home with them while you work. Mine is at home with Malek right now but wants to work badly and is having a hard time finding a job.
