NBI CLEARANCE vs POLICE CLEARANCE

Just a really long overdue update everyone: during my husband's interview with the pre-screener, the guy asked him for the NBI clearance, so my husband showed him his personal copy. Prior to this we sent in the Police Clearance from Iloilo to NVC just as they requested.

So, better to send both in, just in case they feel like they need it. Just another hassle pero what can you do?

I am curious as to whether this is something that only applies in certain cases. Was there any derogatory information on the NBI, or was it incomplete? Was he arrested at any time?

I apologize for having to ask, but this seems unusual.

I see from the post here, that the appoints were made by the NVC? Is this the case for CR-1/IR-1 visa? Maybe this link could clarify the issue.
