Well, what a crock, first the Dems and now the GOP and no one has managed to say anything except rabble rousing, back slapping self congratulation.

However, I am sure there will be some eulogising along shortly.

I wasn't too enamored with McCain's speech - again not much of a clear policy plan emerging here and I did the :rolleyes: when he ran through the checklist of republican cliche soundbites.

At least this convention guff is over and these guys will actually have to start providing some substance to back up the ample rhetoric.

I remain optimistic I suppose - but I don't really have any reason to be...

More than anything - its obvious when they're trying to blag it. I'll be interested to see the debates - be more interesting than Bush in '04.

It doesn't help of course that the media consistently fails in providing independent scrutiny.
