What to expect in the interview?

Long-time listener, first-time caller...

First and foremost thanks to everyone esp. creators and mods for the information at this site.

I am just wondering what to expect for my fiance's interview. She will be interviewed in Ho Chi Minh City (though it is still several months away). I am hoping to be there with her, but we'll see what happens.

Any links to this information would be just fine, and I have looked around the site a ton looking for it and probably didn't find it because I'm a Homer.

Will the interview be in English? Is English ability a consideration?

What kinds of questions will be asked?

What information does she need to be aware of?

Is Vietnam considered a high-fraud country for Visas like this? If so, is there any way to prepare for an interview trying to detect deceit?

Thanks in advance.

And sorry in advance, if necessary, for not finding this information elsewhere.

She was my waitress at a restaurant in Saigon: Nov. 2007

NOA1: Aug. 28 2008

Ho Chi Minh City Consulate Interview: May 18, 2009

Passed the Interview, now jumping through some medical hoops

Try asking in the Regional forum. There are a lot of people going through HCMC with advice.

There will be a translator available. Try not to use them. If you speak tieng Viet don't worry. as long as you can communicate.

Question will most likely be the basic, how did you meet, when has your SO visited you and what dates, what does your SO ike to do, ect.

VN is considered a high fraud country. Just be well prepared with evidence to support your relationship.
