I got married less than 1 month ago, gathering paperwork for AOC. I changed me name.

Question:do I need to change my name on the passport before applying for AOC and which name should I put on application (as my maiden name is on passport)?

Thank you

R

Name in passport is not a consideration, you can change the passport... The name on the application should be the legal name you want to known by.

Hi it depends on what you want to put. Like my case I wanted to use my married name so that's what I put in my AOS application eventhough my passport is still in my maiden name. And if you want to have your passport name change you can ask your embassy here in the US and they might provide that service for you. GOod luck and blessings
