check case on line on USCIS

hi, i am trying to check my case on line on USCIS page. it says i need my 13 digit number (application receipt number) mine starts with MSC....... placed in the top left of the 3 receipt notices i got..... but it doesnt work!!!!!!! can sombody give me a clue what may be the problem????

or i have to wait for som other 13 digit number?????

You need to include MSC but disregard the dashes(-), just the MSCXXXXXXXXXX the 3 letters MSC and 10 numbers. SOmetimes one's case cant be seen online right away..it might take a few days even after biometrics, some does seen their case even before or right after biometrics, again, its case to case basis

yeah that is what i did.... MSCXXXXXXXXXX.... i guess i have to wait for my biometrics......

Your welcome. As what I said, sometimes even after biometrics some case still cannot be seen online..then again there's no harm in checking it every now and then..but with the whole process it helps if we have lots of patience.Telling this to myself too Goodluck to you

I did my bio a week ago and I still can't check my case online.

I filed in January and could not check my I-485 online until a month ago - a few days after I changed my address. (Biometrics were in February.)

I doubt I'd be seeing my I-485 online now if I hadn't moved.

It doesn't help much in the early stages being able to see online status, as nothing much happens anyway. As long as you have your receipt, you know they received your applications.

You're not alone mine too I already had Biometric appointment letter still can't find my case online.

We could add the I765 & I131 case numbers ( MSC**********) immediately , but not the I485 for about 3 weeks or more as I recall, even after biometrics. I wish I could tell you why this happens, but don't have an answer. It all seems like an eternity though and requires lots of patience, just waiting.

I received my NOA1 for all three I-765, I-485 and I-130 dated August 29, and all of these forms are now online for me as pending. I hope others have the same luck.

That's what happened with my us. I tried to look at the number the morning of his biometrics appt and could not get to it online. The next day it was availabe online all 3.
