Hi everybody,

I am looking into the processing times of the I-131 and see a big difference between the VJ timeline and the uscis website.

VJ timeline says around 2-3 months but at the uscis website they are working currently on forms submitted early April!:blink:

Does anybody has recent experience with his / hers I-131 and is living in Missouri?

Also, it might depends if the big service centers are working on the form or local offices. Is there a way to influence where the I-131 is processed at? The new instructions of the document telling me to send it to the Nebraska Service center. Is it still possible to "direct filling" to an local office?

We would like to submit the form end of october and already reserved a trip to Mexico 3 months later, now I am concerned that our AP will not be approved by then.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

VJ timelines represent what members here have experienced. It by no means captures everyone's timeline, and since it is an average, some people take less time, and some take more.

USCIS is quite conservative with their estimates. When they say that they are processing cases received in April, that generally means that they have some cases from April that are still being worked on. It does not mean that they are that far behind.

Expect it to take about 3 months, but don't be surprised if it takes less or more time than that.

Thanks a lot for the answers!

I just see that their website is updated on a monthly base and I thought I see the processing times in real time...

In around 10 days the website will be updated again and then it should reflect the up to date ones........

Sorry, I just figured that much out.
