Well, we landed on Monday, we were met at the airport by my parents, my aunt and uncle, and my friends and their little daughter. There were some tears. We were exhausted, and we went home.

Riza already felt some homesickness yesterday. Today she went with my mom to visit a friend to plan the bridal shower.

The POE was pretty quick and easy. Possibly because I was there. She went with me through the resident's line. He asked a few questions and then ushered us through, no welcome to america though. Customs was pretty easy, they only asked what was in the balikbayan box. They never opened anything.

We had to pay airport tax for Riza, not for me. I think it's silly and a little petty that they make their citizens continually pay extra to leave.

We had to pay extra for our luggage on the domestic leg of the journey since we were over the luggage allowance. They let me check 3 bags though without complaining about that. Since it was a separate airline than our international flight, that's why we had to pay.

02/07/2011-USCIS online status update-

02/12/2011- Received Interview Letter Scheduled March 14

02/12/2011- Received Descheduled letter

02/17/2011- USCIS online Status update

02/22/2011-New IL arrived schedule for March 29

02/22/2011-Descheduled Letter Again ( 2nd Time)

02/23/2011- I called USCIS and I was told new schedule in the computer for March 22

02/23/2011-USCIS ONline update....

03/01/2011-Interview Letter for March 22 @ 7:15 AM

03/22/2011- Interview and Oath; US Citizen

Hi everyone, thanks for the wishes :) Yeah, I started to feel homesick last night, but Ryan gave me all the love, the support, the assurance I needed and my heart is full again. I really didn't feel lost at all because he is always there for me. I've got the best man in Mesa :D
