Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On December 5, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

To my fellow Sept. filers i am so glad to inform everyone that i got my first approval, I am so happy atleast im 100% sure now that i can go home by April and see my family again,..wohohohoho..nice advance Christmas gift..anyway, i only have touches on my EAD, i wonder why i have no approval yet but so far i feel better that they checked my case. Goodluck everyone..lets continue the luck of having approvals for all our cases..have a smooth journey to all..Merry Christmas!!!

Hi guys, i just wanna share to everyone that I got good news today.. I received email from CRIS that my I-765 card production ordered and my I-131 was approved. I'm so happy with this news....Can't wait to have the card in my hand....

Well I have to say that I have just officially given up hope. I just called up again to see if anything more had happened with my application and the woman said that they're only up to July 2 2008 and because they received mine on Sep 7, I should expect to wait up to another 67 days. So now at day 86 I'm told I could be waiting for anther 2 months. I'm so upset, we've booked tickets to go home in Jan and now it seems like there's a very good chance that that's not going to happen.

I'm sorry about that! :(

Maybe you should try again on the 90th day and call for an inquiry...

I don't understand something, isn't the EAD should be approved between 45 and 90 days. I thought it was not possible for them to have you wait more than 90 days. Maybe I'm wrong and naive... :P

Another random question. My AOS case is still at the NBC like a previous poster. Is it typical that a case would stay at the NBC instead of being transferred to the another service center? Also, if it doesn't get transferred, then which processing date should I be looking at, for when my AOS case should hopefully be looked at?

I figure I won't hear anything till late January/February... but hey you never know right?

09/16/08 - Biometrics appointment for 09/30/08

09/30/08 - Biometrics completed - cases available online

12/01/08 - EAD received

02/10/09 - AOS Interview - Green card approved :D

Another random question. My AOS case is still at the NBC like a previous poster. Is it typical that a case would stay at the NBC instead of being transferred to the another service center? I think it s more typical that the case stay at NBC than being transferred. And I think timelines are the same between 5 and 11 months to get an interview.

It s what I think from what I read on timelines here on VJ.

well u called USCIS today coz today is my 60th day since i got my NOA and the girl said if i dont receive any next week i should call back again..

01/12/09 - went to infopass - found out my EAD has been approved since DEC 8,2008

Do not give up your hope, my friend.

I also called USCIS because my AP still does not show up in their system and I wanted to know the status of it.

The lady I talked to was very nice and told me that if my application for AP and EAD do not get approved after 90 days, they can file a service request to look into what is going on and push the approval.

Some officers are mean and not helpful at all. But, there are some who are willing to spend their time with you on the phone trying to help you.

So, keep calling till you get a helpful person. Do not give it up.

Also, since you are gonna be over 90day period soon, you may be able to push your approval with infopass appointment. I am not sure if it works, but if you bring plane tickets and itinerary, it may work.

10/06/08 - check cashed out

10/07/08 - date of NOA

10/08/08 - last touch for AP and EAD

10/28/08 - AOS transferred to CSC

11/04/08 - touched on AOS

11/05/08 - touched again on AOS

11/06/08 - touched again on AOS ( no touch on AP and EAD)

12/08/08 - EAD approved according to USCIS officer (from infopass)

12/09/08 - touched on AP and EAD

12/10/08 - AP approved dated 12/09

12/15/08 - AP on mail

01/12/09 - went to infopass - found out my EAD has been approved since DEC 8,2008

01/21/09 - biometrics appoinment

01/21/09- Card production ordered for I-765 and a touched for I-485

01/22/09 - touched on I-485

01/23/09 - touched again on i-485

01/26/09- touched again on I-485 and i-765! WOW!

01/29/09 - i-765 approval notice sent.. and EAD card received in mail

02/24/09 - AOS APPROVED!! thanks God!

02/25/09 - AOS touched again

02/27/09 - GC and welcome letter received in the mail

Another random question. My AOS case is still at the NBC like a previous poster. Is it typical that a case would stay at the NBC instead of being transferred to the another service center? Also, if it doesn't get transferred, then which processing date should I be looking at, for when my AOS case should hopefully be looked at?

I figure I won't hear anything till late January/February... but hey you never know right?

My case is also still at NBC. I think it is typical that a case stays at NBC for a while because the case is transferred either to CSC or to your local office to be used for an interview. Since cases not transferred to CSC will most likely be subject to an interview at a local office, I think the case stays at NBC till the local office is ready for the interview.

Since my local office is L.A. and my case has not been transferred to CSC, I am expecting my interview in May or June 2009. L.A. has many immigrants, so it always takes twice to three times longer.... :wacko: Oh well....

Anyway, you can look at specific local office's immigration timelines for AOS on VJ. Just go to immigration timelines for AOS and select your local office on the bottom. Then, you can see the timeframe for your local office. Time frame between AOS filing date and interview for L.A. is about 8 to 9 months. But, let's hope that it happens earlier than that :star:
