I guess USCIS wants to ensure that I know they have ordered my EAD......

We are tossing around the idea of heading down to our SS office in the morning to see if Alf can go ahead and apply for his number/card. We haven't received the EAD card yet, but it *might* be updated in the system. Maybe I'm being pessimistic, but I doubt it will show up yet. It would be great if he could get that waiting proccess going so he can start applying for jobs.

I'm wondering if they could look the EAD up if we called and explained the situation? It's only a 15 minute drive, and as long as they aren't crazy busy, it shouldn't take too terribly long to get called to the window, but I'd rather not waste the energy if a call would do it. The worst they can say is come back with the card if we do go down though.

He needs to start studying for his test at the DMV... hehe

I got the cris emails!!!!!!! On November 27th, My AP has been approved and my EAD has the status "Card Production Ordered" !!!!!!! Does that automaically mean that my EAD is approved and how long then before I get the EAD..... Anyone ...?

My wife's EAD has been approved and the card was ordered on 12/3/08. WOOHOO!!!!!!

Does anyone know how long it takes to get the card. They say it's 30 days but I'm hoping for less. I am trying to be optimistic. LOL

07/31/2008: K1 visa issued

08/05/2008: U.S. entry as a K1 visa holder

09/03/2008: Wedding at the City Hall:)

AOS timeline

09/18/2008: Sent out AOS/EAD/AP via Fedex

09/22/2008: Application received

09/26/2008: Application received Date on NOA1

10/16/2008: Biometrics appointment

10/17/2008: Touch

12/08/2008: Filed a Service Request for EAD (more than 75 days since petition received.)

12/22/2008: Infopass Appointment (Day 91 since EAD application filed)

12/22/2008: EAD approved (card production ordered/Day 91)

12/31/2008: AP received in mail :)

01/02/2009: EAD received in mail :)

01/09/2009: AOS interview letter received in mail :)

02/20/2009: Interview :) => Approved!!!!!

Guess what everyone!!!!!!!!!!

I know you know...its my turn to shine tooooo yaaay!!!

I checked my mail at about 8pm this evening and got this...... i checked very early morning there was nothing but at 8pm there was this...

Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On December 3, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

But one problem, we just moved to our new house and i discovered my husband only made a change of address for I- 485 for AOS.

His excuse... he didnt have the reciept number for the others and thought it would reflect for all of them, i just did the change online for the other two, but do you have any opinion as to what would happen as i dont want the card to get lost in mail....

So i'm both excited and worried, il also give them a call tomorrow morning to hear what they ll have to say.

CONGRATULATIONS...IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU! DONT WORRY TOO MUCH EVERYTHING WILL BE OK...THATS FOR SURE....GOODLUCK.
