September AOS filers

Just stopped by to say that my AP documents arrived by mail last Friday. My EAD card hasn't arrived yet, but hopefully I'll get that this week. I can't wait . Congrats to everyone else who got EAD and AP approvals recently. For those of you still waiting... you can't be far behind. I predict tons of EADs this week as well

Got my AP Today!, but my EAD hasn't arrived yet :-(... hopefully by Monday... I have a question for the people who already have a Social Security card... Does the SS Card say something like "Valid only with DHS authorization"... I'm asking this because in 2006 I came with a work visa for 3 months, and they gave me a SS card by that time. Then I came here as an F1 Student and of course I wasn't able to work. However, I kept my old SS card j (Which says "Valid only with DHS Authorization")just in case, and now that I'm going to have my EAD card in a couple of days, I don;t know if I have to apply for a new SS card....

I also have a SScard that I received as an F1 student. Mine also says "Valid only with DHS Authorization."

When I went to SS Administration, I was told that the new card wouldn't have that sentence on it.

I am not sure because my new card got lost in the process of delivery....

Since I was already married when I went back to SS Administration to reapply, they told me to wait till

I receive my EAD. So, I will go back when I receive my EAD.

But, I will use my old SScard if I get a job before my new card arrives. There should not be any problem because

EAD is DHS authorization and SSN on the card will be the same.

Yes it's normal. Mine, nevertheless says "valid for work only with DHS authorization". But I guess it s the same. It just mean that you can use your SSN to apply for a job, but only if you have your EAD. If not, you re not allowed to work.

From my understanding, if you do not receive EAD or AP after 75 days of NOA1 date, you can call for an inquiry.

You can make an infopass appointment after 90 days.

I hope we all receive EAD and AP before that.

It's normal! Don't worry...Some people got transferred for some reason. And for some reason people who got transfered don't have a GC interview! So you are lucky!

Could we have a column for AP even though I know everyone doesn't submit it?

I know it's another item to keep track of but it would give me an idea of how long

Hello

Well thankfully I can contribute some good data points today! I finally received my EAD in the mail this morning. My wife almost threw it away though! If I even thought of throwing away her precious Ikea catalog, I'd be 6 feet under in about 2 minutes flat. I'll have to talk with her about prioritizing the mail.
