CRIS System Scheduled Outage

November 21, 2008 - The CRIS System (Case Status, Processing Times, Office Locator, Civil Surgeons, and Change of Address Online) will be offline for maintenance this Friday night, November 21st, from 930p until 130am Saturday, November 22nd.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Just tested this problem, it seems to only happen with Internet Explorer. Firefox works fine.

09-10-2008 - Package sent to Chicago lockbox via USPS Certified Mail

09-12-2008 - Package received at Chicago lockbox

09-16-2008 - NOA for I-130, I-485 and I-131

09-19-2008 - Checks finally posted - goodbye money!

09-25-2008 - Biometrics appointment notice sent

09-30-2008 - Biometrics walk-in -- in and out in 20 minutes!!!

10-09-2008 - Biometrics appointment 12pm at Norfolk, VA office (for reference only)

12-01-2008 - Advance Parole notice sent

12-12-2008 - NOA for interview

12-31-2008 - Touch

02-17-2009 - Interview - Green Card approved!

Yeah, I hope so too... Haha, I can always ask them if they will pay for it and see how they react lol.

Now I just have to not think too much about it! Until they come back to me... What sucks is that the officer made us understand that with the coming holidays, processing times would probably be a little longer... :wacko:

$300 for another medical exam is no joke.. they should pay for it! :angry:

i just hate having delays cos of holidays.. :whistle::devil:

EnvyMe, I don't know where you did your medicals, but for me it was not *THAT* expensive, at least not in Chicago ... If I remember correctly It was about $150 (before insurance). After insurance it was about $35

FaustineJason, if you choose to re-take the medical definitely shop around, call a few places etc.. prices do vary significantly

Hey Vicmo, thanks for the tip, but I already called all the places where I live in Fairbank, even in Anchorage which is a much bigger city but very far... And NONE of the US surgeon take less than 300 bucks for the medical examination unfortunately... So, that sucks, but unless I travel to another state, I will just have to pay that much money once again... And in most place apparently, insurances don't cover immigration stuff. So, I really really hope they have my envelop somewhere and that they just forgot somehow to include it in my AOS file...

1/13/11: NOA2 ASC appointment notice

2/3/11: Biometrics at local office (NOA2 recieved on 2/2/11!!!)

I called USCIS customer service and I got elevated to their higher customer support people. They were able to tell me that:

1) even though I can't pull up the case status for my I-485 online, they said that it was filed. Does this make sense? How come there are two different databases?

I have the same thing going on. My i-485 is not visible online but I got an NoA in the mail for it and when I called to inquire about it, they said that it is in their database. I figure it's OK, I've heard other people have that happen and get approved.... I really don't know what else to do about it.

Otherwise,

my good news is that I got an e-mail from CRIS yesterday saying that my EAD has been mailed to me! Pretty exciting! :dance:

I'll be keeping an eye out for it.

AOS timeline

07/17/2008 - POE Washington D.C. as an F1 visa student (had an F1 since 2006)

08/22/2008 - married a very charming and gorgeous USC

09/02/2008 - mailed my AOS submission with EAD and AP (i-130, i-485, i-131, i-765 together to Chicago Lockbox)

09/04/2008 - AOS submission received and signed for by V. Bustamante

09/09/2008 - checks with fees for i-130 and i-485 cashed

09/12/2008 - NOA1 arrives in the mail (i-130, i-485, i-131, i-765 one each), notice dates 09/09/2008

09/13/2008 - Biometrics appointment letter arrives in the mail. Appointment scheduled for 10/01/2008

09/15/2008 - Walk in biometrics successful! Biometrics done.

09/25/2008 - i-130, i-131 and i-765 viewable online! i-485 not viewable - showing a Validation Error.

11/13/2008 - i-131 (the AP) touched online! i-485 still not viewable

11/13/2008 - i-765 EAD card production ordered - online notification! Yay!

11/15/2008 - i-131 AP comes in the mail! It was approved on 11/12, not updated online yet.

11/21/2008 - received an e-mail from CRIS that my EAD has been mailed.

11/22/2008 - receive EAD in the mail

12/12/2008 - received the letter scheduling the interview with USCIS

02/05/2009 - date of the interview, green card approved!!!

So I finally got my EAD in the mail today!!!.....hopefully I'm going tomorrow to apply for my SSN...if the wifey is gonna volunteer to drive me there... :whistle:

Faustine, so sorry to hear about the lost medical... It sucks, but unfortunately not uncommon (i hear...)

i know the same thing happened to an acquaintance of mine, and once they got the medical, they got the green card toute suite!

Hopefully, for you, too... everything will work out sooner rather than later! :thumbs:
