it's nice to hear that things are starting to happen with the September filers.

I, on the other hand, am still waiting for my biometrics appointment letter :( My NOAs say a receipt date of Oct. 2.

Any words of wisdom for me?

----keep pn praying and hoping, just like me... i dunno why they dont send our biometrics? hmmmmm

Your timelines are very similar to mine. They got my AOS on Oct. 2, and I haven't recieved biometrics appointment letter yet. What happned on Oct. 2? I was going to wait for at least 2 month, but this is starting to worry me. I wonder if I should do something..

---yeah i am wondering too... when my case was transferred to CSC last oct 28, i called USCIS twice to ask why i dont receive my biometrics yet, then the guy sounds mean coz i said why others got their letter few days after NOA and he said its case to case basis, and i tried to ask if they can see in their system when is my biometrics (trying to check if they sent out letter for me) he said he cannot check (#######! they cant check from their database!!) then he said just to wait but i got a notice already of transfer but why i dont have biometrics yet?????? goodness!!!!

I really suggest you to make an infopass appointment to see what is going on.

I was just at my infopass appointment last Friday because there was an A# typo on my visa.

The officer had an attitude.... But, she, at least, knew what she was talking about and could direct me to the right direction.

(Because of the wrong A# on my visa, my entry record got messed up. She fixed it for me right then. I also had to go and fix my visa at other office. She knew exactly where I had to go, while the room number which the border security guy on the phone gave me did not even exist...So, officers for infopass appointment know what they are doing.)

Many telephone operators have no clue or they are too lazy to do anything to help us out. It is waste of time to try to get information from them...

So, I really recommend you to make an infopass appointment.

Nao

--- i tried to work on infopass twice today, but always get no available appointment on your local office

That happened to me, too.

It does not mean that they do not offer the kind of service you selected at your local office.

It seems that USCIS makes their appointment schedule available only about for the next two weeks.

Whenever appointments for those days are filled, it says "no available appointment."

So, keep trying.

When USCIS updates their appointment schedule, you should be able to make an appointment.

:crying: stupid i am... i thought an infopass appointment is just an appointment for you to make a call in local office and talk to the personnel there so i tried to make an appointment and i scheduled it for tomorrow and when i clicked print i saw something like bring this letter personally etc... and then my printer messed up in short i was not able to print it and accidentally closed the window without saving or copying the CONFIRMATION#.. So when i was about to cancel it, coz its impossibble to go there tom by 10:40am, it was asking confirmation number that i needed to fill-up... goodness!!!! how stupid i am!!!! I saw on the bottom line "if u have any problems making infopass email the local office" something like that...so i did, i gave my info from the infopass application i gave.. i hope that email can help.

Did anyone of u guys here experince the same thing or it is just me???? :innocent:

Hi mamada. So, you could make an appointment.

Good to know that. :star:

I wouldn't worry too much about missing an infopass appointment without a formal cancellation.

I am not sure how your local office handles the appointment, but my office (L.A.) worked like DMV...lol

When I showed them my appointment letter at the window, they gave me a small piece of paper with a number on it.

Then, I waited for my number to be called. When my number was called, I went to the window assigned to me.

It was more like first come, first served basis... I showed up before my appointment time, but they did not care...

I think most local offices operate like that cuz they have tons of people waiting and more people coming for their appointments.

It is not like AOS interview where an officer assigned to your case is expecting you to show up at certain time.

In addition to that, they won't come after you just because you could not cancel your infopass appointment.

So, I wouldn't worry about that too much.

@mamada and @aomary: though i would prefer it to be good news, I feel a little bit better knowing that I'm not alone waiting for my biometrics letter. I'll try to set up an infopass appointment as early as possible.

edit: Ok, I'm currently looking at the options on the infopass site. I selected 'service on a case that has already been filed' then these 4 options came up:

Order from Immigration Court - If you were directed to us for processing based on an order from the Immigration Judge. You must bring all documents required in the post order instructions given to you by the court.

Case Processing Appointment - If you received a notice to go to your local office for further case processing.

EAD inquiry appointment - If your I-765 employment authorization application has been pending for more than 90 days.

Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment.

Which one would be right for my case? (no biometrics letter after 6 weeks)

If I were you, I would make another infopass appointment and see what is going on.

Talking to an immigration officer (not a clueless telephone operator...) wouldn't hurt you.

I think you count days from the date on your NOA1. You can also count weekends.

It is not like AOS interview where an officer assigned to your case is expecting you to show up at certain time.

In addition to that, they won't come after you just because you could not cancel your infopass appointment.

So, I wouldn't worry about that too much.

Nao

Thanks.... you know i worry much when it comes to USCIS lol.. especially that i dont have biometrics yet! hey, dunno if i should make infopass or wait for another week for the letter if it will come on the mail... hey how to count days processing days of application? is it the date when i sent the packet or i will start from the date on my NOA??? and is weekends included in counting??? thanks in advance

If I were you, I would make another infopass appointment and see what is going on.

Talking to an immigration officer (not a clueless telephone operator...) wouldn't hurt you.

I think you count days from the date on your NOA1. You can also count weekends.

Nao

You are right!!!! coz i called USCIS twice last oct 28th when my case was transferred to CSC, even it was a good news i was still wondering why it was transferred without biometrics yet?? and then i also asked if he can check on their system if they sent out biometrics letter or if he can check when is my sched coz i believe they can access it on their database (US should be high tech) he said something about computer that he cant check it etc.., and at the end of conversation he said to WAIT. yuck!!!

Hey gang!

We got a transfer notice today - Case being transferred to CSC. Anyone know what this is about? I get the sense that it might be good news, but don't know for sure and USCIS doesn't really give up any information about this. Experience with this?

Hope you're all doing well!

Yes, this was happening to me, too...

i think it means that they ran out to the mailbox to put my husband's EAD in the post...

I think their system is broke or something.... When I click on my cases online, I get a check mark and It doesn't do anything else. Is anyone else experiencing this...? Still no touches..

Dear Sept Filer Compatriots,

i'm happy to announce that today, this the 17th day of November...

i waited until 4:33 pm eastern standard time to check the USCIS website for my case status... and though the website wasn't working, i still feel that i needed to share my accomplishment of almost waiting one full workday to check my case.

Thank you very much,

Al Hayat Zween

 congrats.. ;)

as for me, i try not to think abt my case so i wont check my case online.. ;)

You are a better person than I!
