September AOS filers

Hi there.

Mailed mine USPS Priority overnight last Monday (Sep 15th). Got the NOA in the mail yesterday (Sep 22nd) with a received date of Sep 19. Don't yet know about RFE or even Biometrics, but am relieved the filing part is over. So now I wait. Used to waiting - our K1 was a VERY frustrating process.

Got NOA's on all three, EAD/AOS and AP.

Sent 12th, received I5th.

Notice of Action sent 18th

Received 23rd.

The waiting continues...

No date for Biometrics yet.

Our package was received today. I just checked the USPS website. Silly question here and forgive my ignorance, but once we get our NOA will it have a different case number assigned to it?

once you get your NOA reciept for the AOS it will have a different number than your k-1 if thats what you mean.

We received the 4 NOA t oday, is that weird? because most of people in here receive only 3, we got a NOA for: i130, i485, i765 and i131.

Just FYI....my father-in-law called USCIS today (after finding out how hubby was denied a driver's license ), and they gave him some very promising info.

First, that whenever you call, they have to tell you the status of your case - not that it's just "being processed," but how far along it is, etc. (Bad for those poor USCIS workers, I suppose, but good for those of us who get really impatient really quick!)

Second, they estimated only about 4 months for hubby's green card! We're through the Louisville, KY office, which apparently doesn't see too much action. But this probably means that a lot of us will get our stuff processed at a much quicker rate! This was sooo very encouraging to hear after a very frustrating day!!
