Just checked the website and our file has been transferred to CSC.

Since my bio's on Tuesday, I think my AOS was touched 3 times and the EAD was touched once.

April 13, 2009 - Welcome to the USA letter rec'd. PRC to be rec'd within 3 weeks.

April 16, 2009 - 2 yr GC rec'd in mail.

March 2, 2011 - Mailed in I-751 to CSC

March 4, 2011 - I-751 delivered to CSC

March 4, 2011 - NOA issued

March 12, 2011 - NOA received

April 14, 2011 - BIO Appt 5/6/11

May 6, 2011 - BIO done in 10 minutes...no re-takes this time :)

June 27, 2011 - Email rec'd "Status - Approved"

July 1, 2011 - 10 yr GC arrived

We got the following message today when we looked at the status on the USCIS website:

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Case Transfered to Another Office for Processing

On October 30, 2008, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow the instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 to update your address. You can use our processing dates to estimate when your case may be processed by following the link below. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case by registering in the link below.

We got a touch today, Oct 31. Yes!!! :dancing: Our case has been transferred to the CSC.

I have the same question as Tim and Glyn.

Is it a good thing?

No touches on the EAD since Oct 17, though.

Anyway, good luck to all!!

I am soo excited... :thumbs:

First I got my Alaskan ID and DL yesterday, then I finally received by mail my SS card...

But most important: I just received a letter from my local office: They gave me an appointment for my interview for the green card!!! On november 20th!!!!! I don't know why though, they didn't give me any appointment for the biometrics... I have been sooo worried all this time, because I didn't hear from USCIS since september 16th... But apparently, even if they didn't update my cases online and I didn't get any touches from them, they transferred the case to my local office and now I have my interview date :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance:

So relieved now! I cannot wait...

11/30/10: Receipt notice received in the mail

12/30/10: Called USCIS as no news for 1 month after NOA1

1/10/11: Emailed from USCIS about my call: "The process for fingerprint appointment scheduling has been requested."

1/13/11: NOA2 ASC appointment notice

2/3/11: Biometrics at local office (NOA2 recieved on 2/2/11!!!)

2/16/11: Date of decision: APPROVED

2/24/11: Card in hand

But most important: I just received a letter from my local office: They gave me an appointment for my interview for the green card!!! On november 20th!!!!! I don't know why though, they didn't give me any appointment for the biometrics... I have been sooo worried all this time, because I didn't hear from USCIS since september 16th... But apparently, even if they didn't update my cases online and I didn't get any touches from them, they transferred the case to my local office and now I have my interview date :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

So relieved now! I cannot wait...

Are you serious! To be honest, I'm affraid that this is a mistake. They might have intended to send you a letter for your biometrics instead of an interview notice. However, despite it being an error or not, if you never had your biometrics taken you won't be able to get your greencard or EAD. The greencard/EAD for instance contain your FP on it.

If I were you, I would try to get your FP done asap. See if you can walk in there next week. Bring your NOA's and picture ID]. If that works just show up at your appointment date and see if they are gonna interview you.

Broke down and called USCIS misinformation because we have no clue what is happening with our case. My husband's I-94 expires Nov. 8th and he has a job. We were told that the EAD application can be expedited and it could be done over the phone, which of course we did. Were told that in a week we should hear from them that they received the expedite and will make a decision , but she could not say WHEN that decision will be made.

I hate to see him have to quit his job, as it took him months of diligently searching and applying for just about anything. I freaking hate this messed up system with a passion.

So this morning I checked our online status, thinking there would be a touch. Nope, nothing.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
