Also, my case is still at the MSC in Missouri. I was wondering which field office it would be transferred to, based on my zip code, closest to my home residence? I saw that for New York NY the processing time for I-485 goes back till OCT 17, 2007?! :wacko: GOSH, does this mean it may take upto AN ENTIRE YEAR for this thing to go through if my case gets transfered to the NY office??

Most people get their processing done at MSC or, National Benefits Center as they call it too. If your following K1 route and your case is straight forward (i.e. no difficult things like overstay) it doesn't take that long. Some people get their interviews withing 4 months. In your case it might even that they send it to california (CSC), those cases go even faster and have a big chance of being approved without an interview. If MSC is gonna transfer your case it ussualy happens within the same month after biometrics. In your case it could still happen as you recently got an RFE.

Well, we at least got the biometrics letter , but still no touches.

No, mostly nothing is done to the case until biometrics are done. For lot of people it also will be the first time they can look up their cases online.

Biometrics scheduled on 10/28/08 at 10:A.M at Dover,DE..yahoo!!! Hopefully after that there will be "touches" in my case.

I wanna ask for those who had gone their biometrics... Is it just fine to bring my passport/visa in my maiden name as my ID? I have my SSN too.. I still don't have any valid ID in my married name yet aside from my SSN.( I believed it's not really an ID coz I don't have my photo on it,am I right) Would that be ok? thanks a lot!

My I-765 AND I-485 were touched on 16th of this month (October). My I-130 and I-131 were touched on the 8th of this month. Hey envy me thanks for updating the list with my info. Is it possible to have an extra column for touches and rfe's as well where we coulds input the date. Just wondering. Thanks.

it is possible but the thing is what if a person has so many 3 RFEs or like 3 touches..

then we have to make 3 columns for the date just for that person..

it would eat the space.. it's not gonna fit..

i just get and post the general info needed but il try to think of a way for the additions..

Vida, just in case, you may want to bring your marriage certificate which should you both your maiden name and the new married name. The biometrics appointment took less than 15 minutes for me, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They just get your picture taken and your fingerprints scanned. Nothing to worry about.

No problem! I also read in this forum that other applicants have brought their marriage license to show the name change etc. Maybe they won't ask for it, but you can never be TOO prepared.

hello Vjers again... I am confused, how many letters of biometrics appointment we can get? In my letter it says there biometrics for my I-485 and I believed the I-765 is also included coz it says in the other side of it too. Are we going to received 2 separate letters same as the NOA's?

I didn't applied for AP though..

Woohoo!!! Like Blukiss, I also received my biometrics appt in the mail today. Notice was dated October 10th.

And would you believe that the appointment is set for November 4th @ 3pm! I guess my wife is going to have to vote early!!

You will not get another appointment notice for the biometrics. Mine is the same, both applications I-485 and I-765 are listed in my letter which is how it should be, but some people do get separate bio appts for these applications - not sure why.

Husband has his Bio appt this Thursday. He will be filing for an emergency AP ( leaving in December ) and I made an InfoPass for earlier in the day because the Bio appt is late in the afternoon. Im wondering if this is gonna work or not.

Hmmmmmm....I'm a little confused but what else is new.

On Friday I checked the site, out of curiousity, to see if any of my applications had been touched. To my surprise, the AOS had been touched on the 16th. It states that they have sent a RFE.

Today, we checked the mail (only cause when hubby came home there was no power) and found a 2nd NOA for my I-485. My biometrics appointment for the AOS is on October 28 at 12:00 p.m. in Norridge. I'm so thankful that my hubby is off that day and can drive me to the appointment.

My confusion comes cause I've received the biometrics appointment but also will be receiving a RFE? Does this happen at times?
