A kind of update!

Just checked my case online and looks like my EAD was looked at. It says last updated 10/17/2008, but when I open it up, it says nothing different, same as previous update on October 6th, case received and pending, we mailed out the NOA.

Any idea what this might mean?

SAME here. My 485 was touched just now, and nothing different from the previous update. No idea what these "touches" are about... I guess we will see...

Also, my case is still at the MSC in Missouri. I was wondering which field office it would be transferred to, based on my zip code, closest to my home residence? I saw that for New York NY the processing time for I-485 goes back till OCT 17, 2007?! :wacko: GOSH, does this mean it may take upto AN ENTIRE YEAR for this thing to go through if my case gets transfered to the NY office??

I read most people saying their case has been touched, touched and touched..... how do i know if mine has been touched or not?

You have to set up an account at the USCIS site. Since you said you registered for emails, you must have already done this. So log into your account and make sure you've added all your MSC numbers to the notification list. That list will contain the date of the last update for each MSC number you've listed.

Thanks for the info, i did register with the uscis site but i have not been able to login and have changed my passwords more than 3times and still cant login, maybe il have to call to find out whats going on with it.

I went back on the site and registered again for emails and then added my case number... I finally have it there now, so il be looking out for the famous "touches"

Its great to get responses and timely too. Il try to stay here more often and see if i too can help some one else with an answer or two.

No touches here. It figures. Back in 2007 when we applied for the I-129-F we never saw a touch or even a notification that our case was approved. Those lames hate us, I swear.

hmmm.. made me think they probably hate us too? Since I got my NOA's no touches yet. I haven't received my biometrics letter too.

Most people get their processing done at MSC or, National Benefits Center as they call it too. If your following K1 route and your case is straight forward (i.e. no difficult things like overstay) it doesn't take that long. Some people get their interviews withing 4 months. In your case it might even that they send it to california (CSC), those cases go even faster and have a big chance of being approved without an interview. If MSC is gonna transfer your case it ussualy happens within the same month after biometrics. In your case it could still happen as you recently got an RFE.

Is there anyone else that is having problems viewing their case online?

I can not add my 485 application to my online portfolio - it's giving me a validation error.

The rest of my cases are there but haven't been touched since 09/25.

I don't know if this has anything to do with 485 not showing up (since 131 and 765 depend on it really).

I've called them but they just said they have a "data entry backlog".

I'm getting worried.... :unsure:

My I-765 AND I-485 were touched on 16th of this month (October). My I-130 and I-131 were touched on the 8th of this month. Hey envy me thanks for updating the list with my info. Is it possible to have an extra column for touches and rfe's as well where we coulds input the date. Just wondering. Thanks.
