CONGRADS Laura you definately deserve the green card and what a hell of a wait you had to experience to get to this point and sorry USCIS has made you wait that long over 10months is insane. I am currently still waiting for my green card also, it has been 9 and half months since I have waited also and USCIS currently has my passport and long form birth certificate and they have had it for over 3 months now and the last inquiry we got was an RFE in april 2 and half months after our interview which was in Feb of 09, we have had 2 infopass appointments and didnt tell us squat, we contacted our congressman 3 times nothing and called the 1800 number several times nothing and even put in a service request for being beyond the processing time, and still nothing so we dont even know where we are at right now and why they took my passport and birth certificate. I am very happy for you honestly, and at least now you have a status in the US and you can do the things you need to do now.

On July 13, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

I'm so happy for you Laura. I think, for myself, I'll be gathering documentation and putting it in my file for the time I have to submit for the 10 yr GC. No more dealing with USCIS for a couple of years - that is a relief in itself.
