September AOS filers

Just found out today by checking the USCIS website that we got an RFE for the green card application.........don't understand why though. According to tthem they sent us a notification via mail on October 10. So, we're just waiting for that. But the EA and the AP application "seem" to be ok......I'm still dying to find out why we gor an RFE....could it be because we have a joint sponsor?

I, too, had a RFE, and we recently just mailed in the additional evidence. In less than 5 business days you should receive the actual letter detailing exactly what you will need to send in. Could be anything really, medical record, taxes, birth certificate... Sometimes they request things you've already sent (so I heard), so don't worry just yet. It happens more common than you think. Hang in there!

Well I guess I don't have to worry much, I looked at the forms that we sent and realized that there is a line on the Co-Sponsor form that says that we have to include evidence of citizenship by sending in a BC, passport, or naturalization certificate...........and guess what I forgot to tell the co-sponsor..... oh well, I already contacted the co-sponsor and told her to please send me a copy of her passport.........even though I haven't recieved the RFE notice yet, I have a hunch that that's what it is, either that or they want us to resend info.........but if you say that it happens more often then I think that gives me peace of mind (I think) My husband says to be patient to see what exactly they want....I'm trying but I can't! LoL We didn't even get an RFE for the K-1, but then again, it's USCIS

I got the very same RFE for Joint sponsors status, If she's got a passport all you need is the bio page. Mine gave me her birth certificate... and then I found out that because she has her married name, we have to apply for a copy of her marriage certificate too! (should come in a week or so, I hope) so I've been waiting for 3 weeks to send the RFE off now. really frustrating, thankfully they give you 87 days to respond!

I had my biometrics appointment in Milwaukee last Friday. It was a breeze, it only lasted 10 minutes or so and I didn't have to wait at all. The people there were nice too. And now I wait once more

I did see that I had a touch on my EAD and AOS yesterday so hopefully that means good news

You are lucky, your case got transferred to CSC. It means no Adjustment Interview.

Thanks, we are hoping for some good news soon...

We're not scared so much about the interview, mainly we are just hoping to get the EAD quick, which is ironically, of course, the only application that hasn't been touched yet!

We have our BioMetrics on Saturday...
