Hey guys!! Just came back from my interview in Santa Ana...and got approved on the spot!! ...she said I should receive the green card within two weeks!! I can't believe it!! These have been the worst months of my life...for various reasons..and I'm really glad that all this is over..well...almost..

Thanx everyone for all your support and advice...it was priceless!!

yes i understand your situation. how i wish you will have your interview letter before you leave or better your GC.

it would be safer if you know already your interview sked if theres any before leaving. Lets just continue to pray that everything will be ok. Nagish and I will whisper more prayers for you.

Hi Sept. filers.

I had an AOS interview last Friday and got an approval.

Though we had to wait for an interview for about one hour, the actual interview took us less than 15 minutes.

Our IO was a nice lady. She just asked us basic questions. No cross examination was made.

Two prominent questions she asked were how we met and who the people in our wedding pics are.

The only one problem we faced was that the vaccination letter which the civil surgeon sealed in the envelope did not have a check in a box "All vaccination requirements are met...," so the IO was about to ask me to call civil surgeon and get another letter.... But, then the one the civil surgeon gave me had a check in the box, so I showed it to her. She took my copy and said that she would replace the one in file with my copy and there is no problem. Bringing copies saved my butt. So, make sure to bring all copies of everything.... I mean everything.

Anyway, she gave me the approval letter and told me that I should receive my GC within 30 days.

Hello september filers!

It s been a while since I last came on this thread! I m so happy to see so many good news! everybody starts getting their GC and every interview is smoothed, it s great!

On my side, no news from USCIS, no interview, they still didn't send me my RFE for the I 693 (i didn't send this form)...

according to envy me chart, it looks like we are only four left without interview...

I have a friend here in CO who had her interview after a year! They seem very slow in Colorado!

ahhhhhhhhhh our interview is tomorrow and I am so ready for it all to be over!!! i have a huge pile of papers and pictures (dating back from 2002!) evidencing our relationship, so our officer had better not question the legitimacy of our relationship! Glyn's AOS has not been touched since 1/12. Glyn also applied to change her SS card to her married name in mid-December. However, the SS office says that the verification is still pending with DHS.

She has already received her AP and EAD.

I am worried that the delay is going to hold her up from starting a job. (It has already caused problems when I submitted my income taxes.)

Any thoughts on how to resolve this?

We had similar issues with Alf's SS card. It was his application for the first card rather than a name change, but every time he would call, they would say they were still waiting for verification. We finally called USCIS and asked, and he was told the Social Security office can phone them 3 days after verification is requested if nothing is sent to them. He called the SS office back and the woman had no idea she could call USCIS about it. 3 hours later, they had verification and we received his card about a week later.
