Thanks Vida!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that my husband received his AP approval in the mail on Tuesday this week, and just now he called me to tell me he received the employment authorization card in the mail today! He has been here since June, absolutely itching to find a job!!

On the USCIS website, neither the AP nor the EAD has been updated with the approvals yet, just an FYI...

It's nice to see that they have not forgotten us... For those of you who are still waiting around for the EAD (I know there are lots of you!), don't lose hope!

Thanks to all of you whose kind and encouraging words have gotten us this far!! We know that there is still a long road ahead, but it's nice that there is this community that we can cling to!

Noooooooooooooooooooo! I keep praying for you, Beautiful_years. Your miracle is just around the corner. I promise!

I am trying to stay positive, myself. My husband does not want to wait around for his April 7th interview. He wants to go back home for health reasons and postpone the interview, to which I say it is a sure way to get denied. I still do not know what he will do, as part of him wants to interview and the other part of him wants his health issue resolved. Here, he works w/o health insurance, and since I am on permanent disability I can't offer him any. Sheesh, WHY can't things be smooth sailing for some of us??

I really would appreciate if something happens, i'm praying for you too my friend.

God will make a way where there seems to be none, Your husband would be fine, health is very important infact a top priority, but in matters of immigrations its almost becoming secondary.

I too think he should try to stay and get it over with so he can be free to leave without worrying what would happen on his way back.

This is a lesson in patience yes! Iv been screaming hurry up so much these days that even that means nothing at all, at this point i'm expressionless, just counting the days till i have to go and see what happens afterwards.

Its a good thing we applied for AP even though its not that satisfying to go half way done!

But half bread they say is better than none....

Take care my friend...

P.s

I'm trying to stay away from the website... cos i almost trashed my laptop in anger yesterday, or was it frustration lol.

Have a good night Nagish, everyone else still online.

Tommorrow il awake again hoping for the secret mail hehehe

Hi Nagishkaw,

My prayers are really with you, its kind a tough but hang on my dear God has reasons for that, He knows you can make it and He is preparing greater things to come your way so dont lose sight of your long term goal.

Also, is there any way you can probably contact USCIS and move the schedule a little bit earlier? If i were you i will try to contact them and move the schedule earlier and just explain your situation, rather than schedule it at a later date that will just give them reason for denial. I dont think USCIS is so unreasonable.

Anyways, whatever is your decision we are here for you...I will whisper a prayer for you so that USCIS will accomodate you and then everything will be smooth again.

I ne4ver thought of asking to move up the date. As of last night, he says he will try to stay until after his interview. He seems so wishy washy these days, but I can imagine how torn he is in making this decision.

Thank you for all the prayers and support, and words of encouragement. I never thought I would confess that I need prayers, as it is usually the other way around.

Question : in the interview letter it states to bring a court paper IF you have ever been ARRESTED or DETAINED by the police. If none has happened, do we just forget about bringing a police / court paper ? 0r do we need to get a paper from the police department stating no one has ever been arrested/ detained?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

My wife's AOS was approved without an interview which is great but my stepchildren have a RFE on both of them. The I-797E stated that

"Tuberculin (TB) Skin Test: Current regulations now require that the tuberculin skin test and/or chest X-Ray be completed by all applicants 2 years of age and older. Your Form I-693 reflects that you have not had a tuberculin skin test or chest X-ray performed. A chest X-ray is required only when the reaction to the skin test is 5 millimeters or more. Or you may provide other evidence to establish that you have had follow-up treatment for tuberculosis and that the condition no longer exists."

The closest Civil Surgeon is over 2 hours away. When we did the K-1 Visa, the two kids which are 11 and 14 weren't required to have a TB test completed. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or have experienced this? Please let me know. Thanks so much!
