Well I was correct, we got an RFE.

I am trying to figure out what it is for. We didn't send any of the vaccination information, but his medical is less than one year old. I don't know, but maybe that was it. If so, I have no idea how to go about getting his vaccination documentation again. Oy vey, hopefully it's something else.

we got our i-130 approval in the mail in our home in san francisco last friday. we also got out i-485 welcome letter at my wife's family's home in long beach on saturday. wooohooo! we live in los angeles and i dont to receive any mails over here for the fear of losing anything in an apartment complex. see you all in 21 months when we start the ball rolling again. its been fun esp envy_me who has been so helpful with creating and updating the spreadsheets. =) now we can finally take the trip back home to prepare for our church wedding in september.

Susie, if it turns out to be the medical, just go get another one done. I know its a pain in the #######, but might as well bloody get it over with so you can move on without any more delays. Im so sorry to hear this happened.

Went in for the interview this morning (Norfolk office). Got there a little early, Went very well, took about 15 minutes. The officer (Golli? Galli?) went right to business, but not too scary either. Checked that we could spell our own names, ask our parents' names, address, mostly basic stuff. We brought lots of pictures, he only kept copies from the wedding (we also had our wedding album). We bought our first house in December, so we had proof of that as well.

We were a little worried because my wife has Type 1 diabetes, and we couldn't bring food or juice inside in case she goes low while waiting. But we weren't there long enough for that issue to occur.

Overall, very good experience there. The officer took my I-94 that was stapled to my passport and said we'd get the green card in the mail between 2 weeks to 6 months. Hopefully it comes within 2 weeks! Also, he told us I was getting a permanent GC since we've been married for more than 2 years. I like that he told us his decision right away, rather than being ambiguous as I've read about other people...

I'll post this and update my timeline. Thanks to everybody in this forum! Good luck to everybody else still waiting, your turn will come soon!

if they just need the vaccination info, can i just bring his shot records to the civil surgeon and have them fill out the form for us?

the form is in albanian, but all of the shot name abbreviations are the same as english, and the dates are written in number form, so its pretty clear what he has had.

Hello All,

I checked mail today and I was so surprised to get a letter from USCIS............I was kinda nervous because I was not expecting it................and there it was my APPROVAL letter "Welcome to the United States of America" ............I never thought I would see this day..oh my....green card should be in the mail in the next few weeks but this letter says it alllllllllll.

Congratulations to all on your interviews......the ones that have not yet have their interviews or haven't got the interview date....they will get to you........and our prayers goes out to everyone and wish everyone good luck...................I hope we can still keep each other updated on this forum and see everyone when their removal of conditions come around.
