Not necessarily. In fact, it means they are making progress on your case, which is a good thing. In the detailed letter (not online), you will find out what it is that they want to see additional info (evidence) on. For example, we got a RFE for additional years detailed tax returns. It's not bad. It just means you gotta submit whatever is requested. Don't worry just yet!

We used Turbo Tax the online software to prepare our taxes, and it provides you with a summary and detail for each year. The first time we just submitted the summary pages, and for the RFE we sent the detail.

OMG!

All immigration are really interested is the AGI (adjusted gross income) figure and your W2s to back it up. I sent in wife's Tax transcripts, and from what I've read on this forum before, they (immigration) prefer this. You can get your a copy of your transcript free from the IRS (got them in about 2 weeks, but they quote 4 to 6).

If in doubt, just send in the whole 1040 form!

Would it make the process slower of its normal like every one else? We live in Atlanta and sent our packages to Chicago sept 12th.

My wife (sponsor) also filed her taxes online for 2007 (she has transcripts for the previous years from her naturalization process).

I submitted the 'summary' page, the actual filled-in 1040 form, and a copy of the related W-2.

Submitting just the summary would be insufficient, I would think, as it is not a recognized federal form.

Getting transferred to the CSC is usually a pretty good thing, as sometimes you will get approved without an interview. From what I've read on some of the threads, it often means a faster approval.

Envy_me, I wouldn't worry too much about the RFE until you learn more- usually it's not a huge deal and can be remedied within a week. The notice you receive in the mail will tell you exactly what they're looking for!

Hi Everyone,

I have been reading a lot of threads and posts on the transfer to CSC and for all i have seen the cases were transferred after their biometrics...

My biometric appointment is still 5days away, so why are they transferring me so soon?

I have checked even previous years post and they all were transferred a day after biometrics or more, none before the biometric appointment. I wonder why....

Also it seems its a good thing being transferred to CSC as all cases i read didnt have to go for interviews.

That's gonna be one big sigh of relief for me!! pheeew!!
