That's odd that you guys (y'all? ) have to go to Cincy. Alf's bio appointment is in Louisville. I'm wondering if the Cincy office is a little closer to you?

I very much doubt that...L-ville is only about 80 miles away, where Cincy is about 90-100-ish.

We were really expecting to have to go to L-ville...But whatever. On the plus side, this means that we get to make a trip to Ikea after the appointment! Yeah!!

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Fingerprint fee accepted; receipt notice mailed and case pending.

....does that mean I am going to receive in mail for my biometrics schedule soon? Hopefully!!! YAHOOOO!!!!

Our biometrics were Oct 3rd.

A note for anyone trying to do their biometrics early: Santa Ana office in California WILL NOT let you go to your appointment early. you have to show up on the day that is on your letter.

I hope this helps someone.

Hmm Not true for me though they allowed me to have biometrics early like the day after I got my biometrics appointment like 2 weeks earlier than original apointment date...

Really? That's good to known for the Santa Ana locals. In NYC you can go earlier than the scheduled time, but it will have to be on that day.

Hi, I am also based out of NY, NY. I had my bio appt in late Sept per the NOA letter... I went to the office on Varick Street, and the whole process took less than 15 minutes. Don't worry about shaving or anything. They just get a picture taken (using one of those web-cam looking thing), and scan your finger-prints. I don't know about the walk-in though. Since you just filed, you may want to wait till you receive the letter from USCIS with your bio appointment date and time... don't worry!

Sorry, my signature is not up to date... We have the appt for Oct 18, was just wondering if we could go in early for the prints.

We are supposed to go to the office in downtown Brooklyn. Glad to hear the procedure was painless though!

We got two different biometrics dates but did both yesterday on the same day. The Boston office was empty and he went in two hours early and got it done in about 15 minutes.

Our case was transferred to CSC and we were touched today with the message: Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.

With luck, this will be a speedy process for us!

Not necessarily. In fact, it means they are making progress on your case, which is a good thing. In the detailed letter (not online), you will find out what it is that they want to see additional info (evidence) on. For example, we got a RFE for additional years detailed tax returns. It's not bad. It just means you gotta submit whatever is requested. Don't worry just yet! :star:
