Hello Time1300

Its sad and i hope you both have the strength to cope like you have, hopefully you ll be done with the interivew and everything comes at same time.

Dont worry too much, some of us with EAD'S are still struggling with this drowning economy.... yet to find a job, now i ask myself, if i knew it was going to be this hard.. i would have relaxed more without worrying for the EAD, but you know how it is...we are at their mercy, what i pray for is that they get it done quickly so we can move on with our lives...without them looming in the dark or giving us nightmares!

Lynnandahmed ...congratulations!

Yaay!

Thanks so much!!

Ahmed got a job too last week and has another interview today!!

Things are all happening at once!

Everybody will get approved eventually....it just takes time.

We started the K-1 in June 2007........so you can see it takes a longgggggggggggggggg time.

We never thought that we would get the K-1 visa!! That took FOREVER when everyone else was getting

theirs quickly.

I was so miserable then, especially when things speeded up soon after that for K-1's.

We had filed before the fees went up in July 2007 and there was a flood of applications, thus slowing the whole process.

Anyway,

The chart looks beautiful Envyme!!

If you love me, then I have everything I need

Hi All,

I am using this opportunity to tell everyone about my experience with the USCIS and the Atlanta Immigration Office. First of all let me point out that I am one of those people who entered into this country and got married (in jeans and flip-flops) in less than a month and then filed my paperwork. I had every intention of going back to work and then, well I had a change of heart and stayed with my honey. Much to the disapproval of some other members on other websites, I was left a nervous wreck after being told that I am commiting fraud and so on. I stopped visiting those sites because they were beginning to make my life more grim and morbid than I wanted it to be.

Anywho, I got married in July and filed my paperwork in August then USCIS recieved it in September. I recieved my interview letter in November which was scheduled for (yes) today January 29th, at 1:00 p.m. Guys, I was a witch all this week. I was stressed out over anything and everything. If something was out of place at home, I spewed venom from my mouth because I just wanted this day to come and go. I got up at 3:30 a.m. (only Jesus and the Mexicans were up at this hour) and just started pacing the floor and finding things to keep me busy. I could see my daughter and husband doing their best to avoid me but because they love me so much  , that didn't work too well.

We got to the office at 12:45 and silly me, took everything out of my pocket book and forgot my camera. I had to go outside to put it in my car and get back in line again. So we arrived upstairs at 1:21 p.m. and we were called in by this very nice female IO who ushered us off to her office. She looked like a little fairy as she asked us to swear or affirm after which; she began to go over our I-130 and I-485 information. We answered the questions, provided what little evidence we had and showed her our pictures. Then she took a couple of things for the files and told us that everything looked fine and she was going to approve us. Guys, that's all I wanted to hear. She told us that our greencard would arrive in the mail in about three weeks and then she proceeded to tell us about removing conditions.

I would like you ALL to know that you DO NOT have to be scared, don't think I can say it because I'm done with my interview but it is true. The IO's are nice and they are not waiting to hit us on the head with a mallet or anything like that. Just go in and be prepared to answer the basic questions that are on your forms and a few other questions that they might ask. It was funny to see how my hsuband stuttered when she asked his adress and then she said 'are you sure you live there'? We just had to laugh. It's no fun not knowing what will happen if the interview doesn't go well but just make a checklist and go over your paperwork to make sure that you have everything you need. I am very happy for all the people who have gotten their approvals and EAD's, it's a long journey guys but hang in there.

Zee, I've been watching you and a few others ever since I came on this site and I just want you to know that when you go down in the valley, the sweetest song you can ever sing is when you get back on the mountain top. All the best to everyone and I hope that my experience will shed light on some of you who got married within a short period of time and then decided to stay.

Congrats to all the recent approvals!! Looks like they're working on us CSC peoples! *crosses fingers*

Still nothing from the social security office. He applied the Monday after he received his EAD (early December) and since then they say they're trying to verify it with USCIS. He finally called USCIS this morning after hearing the same thing from SS. That was helpful. The guy he talked to didn't ask for any personal info/case number etc... he just said that if the EAD wasn't verified within 3 business days, the social secutiry office should have called them.

So frustrating!!

I was not even expecting it because our interview is in one week. I also got the same email for my Advance Parole document. I was so happy even though i had given up because our interview is in one week. I am betting that I would have gotten the whole thing much earlier but because I didn't have an I-94 which I then sent them a letter saying that as a Candian citizen you don't need one, then it got approved. I read in other threads that some included that letter when they filed which I didn't know I had to but oh well, hope the interview will go well as well.

Hello everyone,

I had a question regarding my EAD and AP. How long after the first email you receive do you actually have the cards in your hand?

Also since my interview is on Feb. 10, what happens to the EAD and AP? Do they cancel out or what happens?

Thanks
