I am also waiting for my Interview letter. People have started getting their approvals already.

does it make sense to make infopass appt for my IL query?

I think you have nothing to worry about. It's a waste of time at this point to get an infopass about IL. Any USCIS rep. will tell you it takes about 8 months. That's what they told me at the infopass I went to. If in June you don't hear anything, then maybe you can try an infopass to see if evrythings alright. I know it's long! We just need to be a lil more patient! Good luck!

When I got todays mail, there was a letter from USCIS.

I held my breath as I opened it, hoping it would be my interview letter....

As I cut open the envelop I noticed a yellow letter, thats when I new it would be bad news.

Cause when I got my RFE, that was a yellow paper.

There were 2 letters in the envelop, one about the service request I put in in december.

And in that letter they explained why I hadnt gotten my EAD, cause apperently they sent me a RFE,

and they attached a copy of this RFE. (The yellow one I got)

It is excatly the same RFE as I recived in beging of oct.

But the confusing thing now is that my first RFE was dated oct. 3, and on oct.21 it said online that they had recvied my RFE and started processing my case again. The RFE i got today is dated oct 23. And USCIS says in todays letter, that they send this to me. But I have never seen it before....

I am totally confused, if they did send me a second RFE oct. 23,which I never got, I am already past the 87 days of which I had to replay....

But on my online page it never said they sent me a second RFE, it still says they recvied my RFE on oct 21.

What are they doing?!?!?!?!??!

This is driving me insane (This is excatly how it feels, I am the one getting hit in the head and the USCIS is holding the hammer and smiling)

It's crazy! You had a good instinct to take the infopass and lucky you have one tomorrow! they'd better give a straight answer of what's going on! I hope they'll realize they'd made a mistake and cancel this RFE and approve you tomorrow! Good luck!!

appointment on somebody else`s name!!

What bothers me the most is that the document has MY receipt number on it,

but another persons A number linked to it....And I already had my biometrics appointment done more

than 3 months ago. :angry:

I still have to wait a week to get my infopass ( and I am already waiting a week...)

I am at the point now that at every step of the process I am wondering how they are going to

screw up this time...and they never fail to deliver when it comes to screwing up.

Guess I`ll call them again first thing tomorrow.

Yes! Apparently they did came back to work after the inauguration. I just had the email I've been waiting for so long! "Card production ordered..."!!!!!

Right on time this email, because this afternoon I have a job interview, I would have feel bad to say that my EAD was not approved yet!

The interview went well I start on the 2nd. But it's only two hours a week.lol. At least it's a start and it will give me the time to look for full time jobs ; )

I got a letter today from USCIS where they mixed up my case and somebody elses....

Nothing surprises me anymore.

Some good news for me.....

I received my EAD in December but have just started looking for work. At one time, I had posted my resume on Careerbuilder.com with all my Canadian info. Last week, I updated my resume to reflect my US address and have had 3 email hits and 2 phone calls. I've also applied on a couple of jobs too.

I'm going for an interview on Thursday with Accountemps. I'm also considering on replying to one of the emails I received. There is no information on the company until I actually complete the first step of applying. That makes me a little leary as I would like to know more about the company prior to applying.

Maybe I'll be lucky enough to get a job soon. As long as my resume is getting hits, I just may stand a chance.

Good luck with the search. I received my EAD mid-December and SSN early January. I started looking early December and start work tomorrow. The job market here has just started to get a little busier after the holiday season.

Yes! Apparently they did came back to work after the inauguration. I just had the email I've been waiting for so long! "Card production ordered..."!!!!!

Right on time this email, because this afternoon I have a job interview, I would have feel bad to say that my EAD was not approved yet!

Cannot believe they would be able to mess that up.

Like you say I guess nothing surprises us......

I received my AOS interview letter on Dec 15th 08' for Feb 2nd 09'...I received my EAD on Jan 8th 09' but I also applied for my AP which I thought basically came hand in hand with your EAD. I haven't received any letters pertaining to my AP so I'm a little worried if it has been denied. Does anybody know if you can travel outside the US without your AP but with a Greencard???

That's weird you didn't hear anything from your AP. You should put a service request but I guess since you'll have your GC by March, you don't really need it...Once you have your GC you don't need an AP anymore.
