September AOS filers

I got a code 2 for EAD and 3 for AOS too. I must've read those NOAs at least ten times. Lol.

I just hope that the EAD gets approved quickly before the one I have right now expires!

I got 2 for EAD and 3 for AOS. However according to envy_me's post about the codes, this is wrong for me. This will be my first EAD. Go figure!

update:

my checks have been cashed! Date processed was Oct 6, but only showed up on my bank account today, Oct. 8. Hoping to get the NOAs in the mail soon.

me! me! let's see what happens first, reaching the level cap or getting the green card I know Laura and Nick plays. I forget the other one.

When my wife had her biometrics and interview for naturalization, everything was in Cleveland (we live in one of the nearer suburbs). I expect that the same will happen to me.

hey september filers..

i got this after researching abt that ASC thingy..

USCIS Response: The ASC code that is assigned to an applicant determines how their EAD will be processed. The following is a breakdown of ASC codes:

Code 1 - collect full set of fingerprints.

Code 2 - collect biometrics only (photo, pressed print, and signature). Code 2 is issued if the applicant's address or other information has changed (or was initially erroneously recorded) since the initial card was issued. Applicants assigned code 2 would not receive a sticker, but a new card instead.

Code 3 - collect both 1 and 2 above (full fingerprints and biometrics).

Code 4 - TPS specific. Apply sticker extending the applicant's EAD. Code 4 is only issued if no criminal issues have arisen as a result of an IBIS check and if the applicant's address and other personal identifying information has remained the same.

i think most of us get the same codes.. but..

i heard that they only put 2 for EAD and 3 AOS but at the biometrics letter you'll see both 3 for codes..

i dnt why but i know somebody already posted a thing like this too..

Simply put, yes.....but as long as you have both NOAs for both applications, you will have 1 bio appointment for both.

Just a quick question: Do any of you know about walk-in biometrics?

Can anyone just walk-in, or is it only certain service centers who accept walk-ins? Also, what's the added benefit of shaving a few days off your appt time?

Any ideas?

Hi, I am also based out of NY, NY. I had my bio appt in late Sept per the NOA letter... I went to the office on Varick Street, and the whole process took less than 15 minutes. Don't worry about shaving or anything. They just get a picture taken (using one of those web-cam looking thing), and scan your finger-prints. I don't know about the walk-in though. Since you just filed, you may want to wait till you receive the letter from USCIS with your bio appointment date and time... don't worry!

That's most likely your receipt number that will be on your NOA

Yes, that is your receipt number. You can use it to track your case status online now.
