OMG!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! :star::star::star:

I was just checking my e-mail account to see whether I got an e-mail from my mom or not, then I ,instead, found a magic e-mail from CRIS!!!!!! :star:

Wow!!!! :dance: I did not expect my EAD to be processed today cuz I went to an infopass appointment this morning....

I got sooo surprised when I saw it. My heart was pounding.

Wow, they were so quick!!! :dance::dance::dance:

On December 22, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. Sept. filers, it may be just a coincidence....

But, I think going to an infopass and talking to an officer really does trigger an approval. :yes:

If you are waiting for your EAD more than 90 days and still have not heard anything, your best option may be an infopass appointment.

i think the reason why they said they cant issue u the card is..

cos they approved it before your biometrics appt..

u know how people from uscis are, they're good at delaying stuff.. :lol:

faustine, cheer up girl.. just think of the good side.. :)

at least u just have to do the biometrics for them to give u the card..

there are lotsa people here still waiting for their EAD approval..

i know it's been hard dealing with uscis but nothin we can do but to follow them.. :(

christmas is near! dnt let them ruin your christmas fun time!

I am afraid it is going to be useless though to call again, they seem not to understand on purpose or something... :angry:

File received by NVC and sent to US Embassy in Paris: 03/10/2008

Hello!

I got an early Christmas gift! My AOS interview is now scheduled for February 10!! :dance:

My only concern now is the interview itself..... My wife is, how shall we say, a tad sassy/sarcastic/evil. If you've seen that Korean movie "My Sassy Girlfriend", I definitely see my wife in that character. I just hope I can reign her in long enough to get through the interview. :blink:

Thanks Envy_me for your positive answer. So what? Do you think I should repass the biometrics again?? Or should I try hard to call them again to figure out why they sent me another biometrics letter? I am afraid it is going to be useless though to call again, they seem not to understand on purpose or something... :angry:

I am so desperate about all that... Most of the september fillers already had their EAD...

If I were you, I would also go to the 2nd biometrics appointment.

I do not know why they are telling you to take fingerprints again... :wacko:

The only reason I can think of is that the fingerprints actually did not go through....

I was actually told that I might receive a letter telling me to come for the 2nd biometrics appointment at my first appointment because my fingerprints were somehow very hard to be taken.

But, it has been a while since you had your 1st biometrics..... It is so wired... :blink:

You know what, it could be that USCIS forgot to enter the result of biometrics and lost it....

Anything stupid is possible with USCIS.... :wacko:

Anyway, I think as soon as your biometrics are taken, you should receive your EAD cuz it has already been approved.

Also, whenever you have a problem, I recommend you to go to an infopass rather than calling in so many times.

For me, infopass worked great everytime I used it. :star:

i think the reason why they said they cant issue u the card is..

cos they approved it before your biometrics appt..

u know how people from uscis are, they're good at delaying stuff.. :lol:

faustine, cheer up girl.. just think of the good side.. :)

at least u just have to do the biometrics for them to give u the card..

there are lotsa people here still waiting for their EAD approval..

i know it's been hard dealing with uscis but nothin we can do but to follow them.. :(

Hello!

I got an early Christmas gift! My AOS interview is now scheduled for February 10!! :dance:

My only concern now is the interview itself..... My wife is, how shall we say, a tad sassy/sarcastic/evil. If you've seen that Korean movie "My Sassy Girlfriend", I definitely see my wife in that character. I just hope I can reign her in long enough to get through the interview. :blink:

BTW is it just me or is this thread really really active compared to the other monthly AOS threads? It seems almost more like a twitter feed than a forum :D

When you go to apply for jobs, and it ask for references, what do people put

who haven't worked here before?

Do you just leave them blank?

It always says you can't put a relative as a reference.

Is it okay to leave it blank?

If you have someone such as your previous employer or university professor from your country who can write you a recommendation letter in English, you can put their name and write "recommendation letter available upon request" or something like that.

I would try not to leave it blank.

I was just checking my e-mail account to see whether I got an e-mail from my mom or not, then I ,instead, found a magic e-mail from CRIS!!!!!! :star:

Wow!!!! :dance: I did not expect my EAD to be processed today cuz I went to an infopass appointment this morning....

I got sooo surprised when I saw it. My heart was pounding.

Sept. filers, it may be just a coincidence....

But, I think going to an infopass and talking to an officer really does trigger an approval. :yes:

If you are waiting for your EAD more than 90 days and still have not heard anything, your best option may be an infopass appointment.

OH MY GOD NAO,

I am so happy for you, wow. It probably had some sort of effect to have got the approval the same day. I have called twice and put 2 service requests and no updates or emails at all. I would make an infopass appointment but our local office is about 1.5 hours away and we are in severe snow storm region in the mountains and we have to drive through passes which is hard if you do not have 4X4 vehicle so for safety I haven't made an info pass. I wish there was no snow so I could

I am sure it feels better than any christmas present you could get.

I have a question, you know before the email, when you would check your status on line, it would say something like "we have received your application on _________________________ (date).............. right?

What did that date say and do you count your 90 days from that date?

When I check my status online, mine says:

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On September 29, 2008, we received this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Is that the date everyone counts their 90days from...............
