Officially Engaged December 24th, 2007!!!

Moved to the U.S. to be with my baby on July 19th, 2008 on a K1 visa!!!!

Are all parole documents only valid for 1 year? USCIS must figure that we'll all have our 2 yr GC by then. Wouldn't that be wonderful!!!

still nothing for me guys, more than 100 days after receipt and not AP or EAD. Also 2 service requests. Just praying....................

Hope we see some emails for those that do not have EAD yet, the later september filers seem to have gotten their approvals. Seems like the middle september filers have the no approvals....................

No one really knows, please just give us EAD so we can work....

i'm psychologically preparing myself for a slow week at USCIS. i don't know, but i figure a lot of staff are probably taking holiday. (although, i think my adjuncator has quit... :angry: )

hey girls, guess what? A string of good luck is coming to me. Without any touches or anything (still remain as 10/16 and 9/23 on my online cases for my I-485 and I-130 respectively), today I got a very suspicious looking letter in the mail:

REQUEST FOR APPLICATION TO APPEAR FOR INITIAL INTERVIEW!!!!!!

so the interview is for Feb 13th, yay!!!!

same day when the "Confessions of a Shopaholic" movie is out!!!!

I am a follower of that book series. I love being a Shopaholic!

Hi friends. :star:

I just got back from the infopass appointment at the local office.

There were soooooo many people there and more people were coming. :wacko: I had to wait more than 2 hours to talk to an officer...

Anyway, I got a very nice officer today at the appointment. :star:

I was a little worried whether they tell me to come back again because it is just a day after my 90-day waiting period was over.

But, she did not give me hard time at all. (I guess some officers tell you that it is normal to take more than 90 days... She did not tell me this either.)

She told me that she would send an e-mail to the service center to speed up the process of my application.

She made sure that they have my current address so that the card will be sent out to the right address.

She told me that I should receive the card within 30 days and if I do not hear anything from USCIS, I should come back for an appointment again.

But, she said the e-mail should work. :star:

I also told her that I placed a service request about two weeks ago and has not heard anything from USCIS.

I gave her the paper with the service request number on it, so I think she included that in her e-mail.

I also called national customer service center earlier to follow up on the service request that I put on two weeks ago.

The representative puts in another service request for me.

Referring to NOA date, she first told me that it has not been 90 days. But, once I told her that I talked to one of their supervisors last Monday and she told me to call back today because this is my 91st day, she understood it.

Anyway...

I did all I could do at this point to push the process of my application. :star:

I really hope that the officer's e-mail triggers approval on my case. Well, I just have to wait and see.

If I do not hear anything within like 2 weeks, I will get an ombudsman involved. :star:

This gives me hope my case will be processed quickly. No touches on 485 and 130 since 9-30.

Good luck Nao and everyone else still waiting. I'm sure they will get moving now.

I received the letter the other day about my EAD being transferred to California. It said it was moved so that it could be processed faster and that I would receive either confirmation or other details from them.

And my hubby brought me in my AP from the post today! :dance: and now I'm going to be my friend's bridesmaid at her wedding when we go home :blush:

I only waited 3 days from the time I got the approval online. So I have to say again, don't give up! Since I filed on Sep 2 I couldn't even access my AP online, emails or anything, right up until late last week. It was either the service request or the email to the ombudsman that did it I'm sure. So hang in there and make sure you get them to do what they should be doing for you!

To you other luck people getting things, well done :thumbs: and don't forget to send those positive vibes VJ way!
