it's sooooooooooooooooooo quiet here.. :unsure:

I'll soon change that!!!! Yay.....today I finally received my EAD in the mail. And just before Christmas as well!!! What a wonderful present!! On Tuesday I'll go get my SSN!

I'm so glad we've already done our Christmas Shopping this year!!

I should have it out tomorrow....Just need the photos and put everyhting together....I cant wait to ahve this done.....

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! You were so lucky to have your application half way on its processing in that short span of time...... Unfortunately, me and my husband sent our application last September 11 and the Chicago Lockbox office did received it on the 13th on the same month but until now we still haven't heard anything from them yet even any receipts and our check was not even encashed yet, so that what makes our burden and worries so hard.......... we tried to asked for a help from our senator representative here in Fargo, North Dakota and well we did appreciate for his follow-up call to the Chicago and on the following day, the representative called my husband advised us to just resent our application because the Chicago lockbox said they didn't received anything whereas we have our delivery confirmation from the USPS that they indeed received our documents......

Now, what our concerns is that, what if by the time that we resend our application and they will somehow find our first application, they might just reject both of our application..... can anybody there who can advised us what to do? We really feel so hopeless here but still hoping that there will be some good news soon......... :help:

im sorry abt happened to your application, i think the best thing that u can do is to resend the application.. :(

even if u got receipts to prove that they received the applications, if they say they dint receive them nothin u can do..

how can they process them if they say they dnt have them..

uscis is good at loosing stuff, i bet people here can attest to that.. :innocent:

i know it's hard but i think it's better to wait when u know you're waiting for something than to wait for something they said never existed.. IMO!

Envy is right Rhesa, the only thing you can do is send the application again, and do it as fast as you can. Perhaps you should also put a cover note on the application explaining what happened and include any names, dates, receipt etc in the hope that they might work on it faster.

I'm so sorry for you, I've never heard such a bad story. I really hope you can get it sorted soon.

When will I get mine? Mine is not even approved yet. Many employers want to see my EAD card in order to take the next step to interview.

I think they keep a copy and you keep the 2nd one (to use for mulitiple visits), I would make a photo copy of it to store at home, just to be safe.
