Hi All September Filers!!

Today is Dec 11th, and its my day of interview!!! I just got back and want to share with you all that I GOT APPROVED!!! Ho Ho Ho~ early Christmas present.

My interview was at 11:00 and I got there half hour early, after checking in and got a number, we sat down and wait. 10 minutes later, a lady called us in. She looks strict and doesn't smile at all, gave us a feeling that "we can't lie to her at all". Then we do have to stand up and lift up our right hand, and said "I do", promise that we will tell the truth during the whole interview.

Then she start asking me:

1) date of birth

2) where am I from and how does my home country like

3) whether I am a student now, what school I was at and what major I studied

4) am I working now, am I trying to apply for a job?

Then she asked my husband

5) is he a US citizen?

6) where is his work place, position, what he has to do at work? (this take long time since the IM wants to know more about his work place)

7) where did we meet?

Ask us

8) do we both live together?

9) is this 1st marriage?

10) where did we get married?

11) are we still married?

12) how many years of age difference?

13) did we filled out the I-485 application together?

14) do both parents accept us?

15) do my parents feel upset that I stay in a foreign country?

16) who cook at home? what is each other's best dish?

The whole interview was in a friendly conversation mode (We left at 11:35am already). Basically she wants to know whether we know each other well enough, and we are not lying to her at all. I also brought a lot of information with me (photo album, bank statement, bills, copies of application, old passport....), but she never ask for ANY. (which is good ^.^)

Then she told us that I got approved today, and the card will be mailing in about 2 weeks to 1 month, depending on the holidays. She said all I have to do now is to wait the card in the mail. I asked her if I need to get the passport stamped, and she said they do not stamp the passport now, since it will be in the mail very shortly.

THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of you!!

I am so happy that I got approved today, I will sure to let you all know after I got my Green Card (finger crossing)!!!

envy_me, thank you for updating the chart and I'm glad that you receive your AP today. Yes, hope you EAD is coming soon, I bet it is!! My EAD came 1 week after the AP. Well, hope you get yours very very very soon~~~

All other September filers, look at the chart now, the USCIS is sure keep working for our application!!! Hope to hear more good news everyday!!! These will sure be the best Christmas present!!! :thumbs:

Just when I *thought* I knew what USCIS was doing...

On Dec 2 we get the great e-mail:

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On December 2, 2008, we ordered production of your new card.

Then today, Dec 8 we get the following great e-mail:

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On December 5, 2008, we ordered production of your new card.

So while I'm not one to complain, is my wife getting 2 cards or is there a hiccup in the system?

We have the exact same thing- same dates as you, too! (see our signature) I think a lot of people in this September group have gotten 2 of that same e-mail. Weird, but normal. Your wife should still get just one card. So now we are just waiting on an email that says "Approval Notice Sent" and then the actual card in the mail. I'm not sure if everyone gets an "approval notice sent" email, and I'm not sure if we'll get the approval notice in the mail the same day we get the card, or on a different day...

And on 12/10 we got the "Approval Notice Sent" e-mail...too funny! But that's OK with us!

Hey envy_me, I really appreciate all the hard work you put into making this awesome chart. It's one of the best ones i've seen on this site! I just want to let you know that Ricardo's EAD was approved on 12/10. Sorry I wasn't that specific before. It's so weird,the day my hubby got approved I was ranting, and then in a manner of seconds when I checked the USCIS website it was approved!! LoL. But what's strange is that his travel doc still hasn't been approved yet, but it was touched on the 9th so we're crossing our fingers. We re really hapy when i told Ricardo that he got his EAD he couldn't believe it! anyways thanks for the update, and once again thanks for our hard work

BTW, congrats on getting your AP in the mail :thumbs:

Same here. I filed on 9/19. Called them for service request on Monday but no updates. They haven't even touched my application since monday. I am depressed.

-- I just called USCIS this morning too for my bio sched and she gave me 2 service request numbers, yeah she said my case is outside processing time already coz today i still dont get a bio and today is my 72nd day since they received my packet... she told me if within 45days that i dont here any from them i should call back.. she also told me that i can call anytime if ever i have a question.......... question that they cannot answer and will only say blah blah blah wait wait wait!!! :blink::blink::blink::wacko::wacko::angry:

Same here. I filed on 9/19. Called them for service request on Monday but no updates. They haven't even touched my application since monday. I am depressed.

same here, mamada. I filed a service request last Dec 3 for my biometrics appointment. I called today and they said that the service request hasn't even been processed yet. :( They said that I should call them back by Jan 2 if nothing has happened, still.

still no update after service request on monday. This is so frustrating, I hope nothing is wrong, the EAD should have been approved by now. The sad thing is we can't do anything.

Same here. I filed on 9/19. Called them for service request on Monday but no updates. They haven't even touched my application since monday. I am depressed.

-- I just called USCIS this morning too for my bio sched and she gave me 2 service request numbers, yeah she said my case is outside processing time already coz today i still dont get a bio and today is my 72nd day since they received my packet... she told me if within 45days that i dont here any from them i should call back.. she also told me that i can call anytime if ever i have a question.......... question that they cannot answer and will only say blah blah blah wait wait wait!!! :blink::blink::blink::wacko::wacko::angry:

same here, mamada. I filed a service request last Dec 3 for my biometrics appointment. I called today and they said that the service request hasn't even been processed yet. :( They said that I should call them back by Jan 2 if nothing has happened, still.

oh my goodness!!! i hope they will send our bio so soon i dont want to have IV!!!!!

09/30/08 - mailed AOS, AP and EAD thru USPS

10/02/08 - received and signed by V. Bustamante

10/06/08 - check cashed out

10/07/08 - date of NOA

10/08/08 - last touch for AP and EAD

10/28/08 - AOS transferred to CSC

11/04/08 - touched on AOS

11/05/08 - touched again on AOS

11/06/08 - touched again on AOS ( no touch on AP and EAD)

12/08/08 - EAD approved according to USCIS officer (from infopass)

12/09/08 - touched on AP and EAD

12/10/08 - AP approved dated 12/09

12/15/08 - AP on mail

01/12/09 - went to infopass - found out my EAD has been approved since DEC 8,2008

01/21/09 - biometrics appoinment

01/21/09- Card production ordered for I-765 and a touched for I-485

01/22/09 - touched on I-485

01/23/09 - touched again on i-485

01/26/09- touched again on I-485 and i-765! WOW!

01/29/09 - i-765 approval notice sent.. and EAD card received in mail

02/24/09 - AOS APPROVED!! thanks God!

02/25/09 - AOS touched again

02/27/09 - GC and welcome letter received in the mail
