Alf went to the social security office this morning to apply for his card. He had his EAD card in hand, but they say it's 'not in the system' so we could be waiting for another 4 weeks. *sighs*

Should he go ahead and apply for jobs, or wait (again) until we get the SS card?

Check again in 10 days or so...

And yes, definitely apply for jobs. Got nothing to lose by applying... and if you find something btwn now and the time the card is issued, just explain that your ssn is pending, but you do have permission to work and show them the paper (kinda like a receipt) you get when you complete the ssn application.

Good luck!

hello all,

I was wondering from which date do you guys calculate the 75/90 days. Is it from the date they received your application?

Hope we see more approvals this week. I haven't had any updates since bio on October 17.

Personally, I count from the time they received my application shown on the NOA.

Hang in there! I haven't been touch either since my biometrics. But I think it's normal, the next touch you'll get is to tell you you've been approved ;) Hope it will be soon!!!

hey lucie & damon,

I hope we do get it soon, they received my application on september 19 and I haven't gotten EAD still and from that date it's 80 days. I hope I get it soon, I hate the fact that I can't work. By the way, I saw you guys are in denver, how do you like it there, we are thinking of moving there. So I thought I ask your opinion seeing you are from denver. Thanks guys and good luck, hope this week will be more approvals.

Don't worry I'm sure you'll get it soon. Another thing that I said to myself sometimes is that maybe it's already approved and just doesn't show up on the website. ;) For my I 129, it never showed any touches or approved... It still says today "case received and pending"! :D

How come you re going to move there from MT? When do you think you guys will move to Denver? We actually live in Fort Collins. Its 50 minutes from Denver. But we often go there for concerts and shopping ^_^ It's a nice big and not too big city! I like it. Damon nevertheless doesn't, he thinks it has no charms...So you'll see, surprise! ;)

Has anyone in here changed their address during this process? Did you get touchs on the website afterwards? I filled out the AR-11 online and called USCIS on friday and changed the mailing address on all three petions and today, no touches, nothing has changed.....I will be sending the R-11 form to DHS and the I-865 today.....do I have anything to worry about?

Hi,

I've just been on the phone with USCIS and I asked what date to calculate it by and they said it's definitely by the received date, which meant for me that my 90 days was up yesterday! So I asked for a service request and she did it!!!! She said I should get a response by Dec 13, so hopefully now something will be done for sure.

Fingers crossed everyone, I think they must be planning to give us all Christmas mail! :star:

Hi kiwibecka :star:

It is awesome to know that they placed a service request for you. You did it!!! Yeah!!!

You may have gotten the same lady whom I got on the phone the other day.

It is on its way to you, kiwibecka!

Let's hope all of Sept. filers get magic mails this week.

And, as for an infopass appointment, if you still want it, keep checking infopass website.

The same thing happened to me and I just kept checking and checking for like three days.... Then, the available appointment time suddenly showed up. :luv:

Hi friends :star:

I went to San Diego with my husband yesterday.

On the way there, we passed Laguna Niguel, where CSC is located.

When we passed Laguna Niguel, I prayed that all Sept. cases transferred to CSC get approved soon. :)

So, your case at CSC should be approved soon. (F)

I have a question about the EAD and the 90-day waiting period. From everyone's experience or research, do they really 'expedite' the EAD application once the 90-day period has passed? Or is it more like a service request and you're still waiting for weeks.

Thanks.

I have a service request put in last week for my MIA biometrics letter :P. They said I'm going to get an email about it. What will the email say? (I failed to ask the person this at the time).
