Im wondering if anyone can help me with my question.

I have a Filipina spouse here in the US that has a temp permanent residency card. I work for the US government. I want to take a job overseas in Europe. Has anyone had any problems getting a visa for a spouse that is Filipino citizen married to a US citizen going to work in Europe? I’m curious if anyone has ran into this issue before or has any advise for us.

Thanks in advance

Perhaps he meant Shengen Countries..aka..."Europe".

http://www.eurovisa.info/SchengenCountries.htm

True, however...

All depends on the place(s) you want to visit. If you intend to visit only one Schengen country, you must apply at the Embassy or Consulate of that particular country. You apply at the Embassy or Consulate responsible for the state where you live. If you intend to visit several Schengen countries, you must apply for a visa at the Embassy or Consulate of the country which is your main destination. If you intend to visit several Schengen countries but do not have a main destination, you should apply for a visa at the Embassy or Consulate of the country which is your first point of entry.

YMMV

When I lived in Europe, my wife was able to obtain a multiple entry Shengen Visa.

It did originate from an Italian Embassy, however she requested Shengen so that we could visit other places.

I have also heard that some country's consulates are stricter and more restrictive than others even though it is for Schengen travel. It is imporatnt to declare what country they will apply at for a better more effective response.

YMMV

More than likely the country will be Germany or Italy. I did run across the Shengen Visa but I thought that it was more for tourist than long periods of stay. My wife and I will be over thier for 3 years.
