Hi Brian

No, my fiance was able to cancel the check and get the money back, they were back in a few work-days, and we filled 1 week after that for the 2. time.

I understand your frustration, but I also heard of people never got an NOA1, our problem was that we were so new and didnt read so much about it and just sended it by normal post service, means no fedex or anything, so we couldn't track it, there is a chance that they never even recieved it.

I'm not sure if you already wrote it, but do you have your casenumber that is usually behind the check? If your check even got cashed yet?

If you do, you shouldn't worry then you know your case is in their hands, but I think you should call them if you didn't already do it.

I wish you best of luck!

7/31/2008 - Sended I-129F to VSC (lost in mail).

9/24/2008 - Resended I-129F to VSC (*sigh* lost again).

10/30/2008 - Resended again I-129F to VSC.

11/11/2008 - NOA1

03/09/2009 - RFE received

03/11/2009 - Returned RFE

05/23/2009 - Recieved 2nd RFE

08/05/2009 - Denied. Besides that he turns out to be a total jerk. Case ended.

Question.

I just spoke with USCIS Vermont and they said they received my application and mailed a notice that they received my application. Is this the NOA1? The problem is that I never actually received this document in the mail. Do I need this document? Can somebody please tell me what it says and whether it gives any instructions on what to do next? Thank you very much in advance.

Yeah that will be your NOA1. You don't actually need it however if you don't receive it then you should be able to request another. Did USCIS give you the case number, that way you can track it.

The only approval you will need is the NOA2 as that will be submitted when your fiancee ajusts status.

I'm not sure whether I'm a September or an October filer now. As far as I know Vermont haven't received the petition yet.

well thats right. you will just need the NOA1 if the Vermont lost your petition cause the NOA1 is a proof that they received your petition .

Nothing's impossible . Nothing's unreachable .When I am weary you make me stronger

This love is beautiful .So unforgettable . I feel no winter cold when we are together .

Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

You make things right every time after time.....

Will you stand by me ?!!!

I love you so much and i miss you so much more .

I'm in the same boat. I know they got my package in Sep, because the check hit the bank on the 2nd and cleared on the 3rd. I'll just have to see if I can read the number and try to track this puppy on line.

 Okay, can someone tell me how to find out if my petition has been "touched" or where I can read about it if it has been posted before?

Thanks

 Would that have something to do with registering on the USCIS case status online? And IIRC a "touch" is that same as "Last Updated", right?
