Hi everyone....We are one of the September K1 filers.....

Is the date last updated means being touched?...hehehe

Sept. 6 : I-129F mailed

Sept. 10 : NOA 1 date noticed

Sept. 17 : Last updated/touched

Sept. 23 : NOA 1 hard copy recieved

Sept. 28 : Last updated/touched

Sometimes it can take up to a month. You can get the case number off the cashed cheque, either by viewing online or ringing up your bank, and register for updates on the USCIS website at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp

You should be able to see there if they have sent you an NOA1.

VSC received I-129F on 9/4/08 and cased money order on 9/9/08, but I still have not received NOA1. Is this unusual?

First Welcome to Sep filers.sometime it takes a week/10days sometimes a month ...

Thanks for the support. As I am sure is the case for most of you, I am having a very difficult time being without my fiance Ana. She lives in Sao Paulo and I live in Tampa, Florida. Most of you on this site received the NOA1 very quickly, so I am worried there is a problem already. I sent the I-129 on September 2, 2008, and it was received on September 4, 2008 (I tracked it online), then my money order was cashed on September 9, 2008. I made the mistake of sending a money order instead of a check, so now I don't know what my file number is. It has now been 26 days since VSC received my I-129 form and no NOA1 has arrived. Should I try to contact VSC over the phone, or is that impossible without a file number?

Brian I think you should give it another week, it was the same that happened to me, we called them 1 month after, they said that they would resend it then we called 10 days after and we still havent got anything, we were told to refill, we still don't know where our old package went..

But we called without a case number, just our names and they said they would resend it, so thats probably also what they will tell you :)

7/31/2008 - Sended I-129F to VSC (lost in mail).

9/24/2008 - Resended I-129F to VSC (*sigh* lost again).

10/30/2008 - Resended again I-129F to VSC.

11/11/2008 - NOA1

03/09/2009 - RFE received

03/11/2009 - Returned RFE

05/23/2009 - Recieved 2nd RFE

08/05/2009 - Denied. Besides that he turns out to be a total jerk. Case ended.

9/24/2008 - Resended I-129F to VSC (*sigh* lost again).

10/30/2008 - Resended again I-129F to VSC.

11/11/2008 - NOA1

03/09/2009 - RFE received

03/11/2009 - Returned RFE

05/23/2009 - Recieved 2nd RFE

08/05/2009 - Denied. Besides that he turns out to be a total jerk. Case ended.

Some people go the entire time with no touches at all so don't be too discouraged if you dont see that date change. It really means nothing. ;) The case isn't going to be adjuticated for some time... usually when there are touches early on in the process it merely means you're put into the box to wait.

Did you have to pay the $455 again when they lost your package? I am pretty sure they lost my package. I was reading an article called "Agency from Hell" and it says that it is very common for them to lose applications. I am pretty upset, but it is wasted energy because there is nothing I can do about it.
