sorry, it's been a crazy/busy week! I missed you all! I see everyone is approved already - how cool!

That is really, really awesome to see.

Anyone else left w/out approval that I can't see? I didn't read entire topic, as if I had, I would not have time to type.

Update on US:

We are all set to go! He is flying here on 23Apr, as I punched his ticket out of computer yesterday:)

We tried to speed up interview and guess what? We succeeded!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We thought: Oh, well, the worse can happened, they can say "NO" to us, my boss always says: no matter what, you should always try..so we did!

My boyfriend wrote them a letter full of emotions pointing out the truth: that we were no able to see each other for 10 long months. Prior to my recent trip to Russia.

And it worked!!! they moved our interview from 21 of April to 31March.

So, we are all set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somebody asked why I didn't stay in Russia thru interview - you are kidding..I am only allowed 2 weeks paid vacation per year:) So, I used one week for Russia.

It was winter...guess what? My boyfriend says it's still winter there even today - snow storms and -2C.

Could you imagine? That's when we are enjoying beatiful weather here in DC with the opening of Cherry Blossom festival today.

I hate cold:( But it didn't matter when he is next to me..

Oh, I wish I had my interview but the case only arrived at the Embassy today! DHL shipped it around England for 3 days!!! The mind boggles. But I booked my medical for 17th this month. Since we are hoping for the wedding mid May, I need to get the interview by the end of this month!

So pleased for you though! You really deserve for everything to speed up now after all the waiting you've been through.

Hey guys, glad to see everyone's case is moving along

I received my paperwork from the embassy, Finally, I made my appointment for my medical exam, It is on Thursday YAY!!

The day after they sent my paperwork, i got another letter from the embassy, saying the medical exam has changed significantly, I now have to call my local healthboard to request ALL of my vacination records. Bit of a set back as our health system tend to take their time with things. anyway i thought this might be useful info for you guys.

Also one thing that is bothering me, they ask what i work at currently. Because of this recession i have no job , i have been working as a photographers assistant BUT its not really a full time thing, I am worried this will go against me, and also they are asking what i plan to work at if i do get my visa and go to the states, i had wanted to go back to school but hadnt really thought of what EXACTLY i was going to work at. any thoughts on it?

Oh yes, sometimes time seems eternity.. and you can't speed it up Just to be patient.. Let's hope that all will over soon.. and one makes me pleased that when we get there we will be waiting for other approval together.. then time will pass quickly

Nadya, you CAN speed it up!!! If you request an early interview, they try to accomodate you if they can. I am most certainly going to try. If you don't ask, you don't get. At this stage, what do you have to loose? They can either say yes or no. Wisedom come to has done it so why shouldn't you be able to ?!

Mine is ready too. Just waiting for London to register it and I'll send it ahead of time. Ask for any cancellations if you live in the same city as the Embassy is and you can make it next day if necessary.
