I just called DoS and they said they sent it out on Monday. So it should be here in a few days. I'll be here for a long time anyways well here and the Canadian forum, just cause Montreal is averaging I think 3-4 months after packet 3 is sent back to interview...

Good grief, why does it takes them so long to arrange the interview? My goodness, some people don't wait that long for their NOA2 ;)!

If you had an option, would you chose to leave Canada earlier?

I think the Montreal Consulate says they have a lot of interviews to do. But the consulate in Vancouver does them in a month less on average. I guess Montreal is like the VSC of consulates... No package 3 today , but I have noticed that the mailperson never brings mail to my house on Tuesday or Thursdays. Very strange. I will be all done with my classes pretty soon, my last exam is in less than a month so I would really love to leave Canada sooner. I have thought about going for an extended visit once I know my interview date and just go back to Canada for the interview, but they only give like 30 days notice and I'd have to give my landlord notice and my job notice so that idea isnt very practical. I put some ads online to sell some of my furniture last nite, just because I was bored and wanted to get a head start and got some replies already. I am going to miss IKEA, there isnt one for about 4 hours where I will be living in the US.

How was your day today anyways? Raining here and unseasonably warm. The lack of green makes me miss the south more.

Oh, you should know better than ask an English person about the weather . Whole of this week has been horrible (at least in London), rainy but it's the cold winds that get me. Just can't wait for sunny Florida :). It will take me couple of years to dry the dampness out of my bones...

Yes it would be nice if you could be with your fiancé for a bit while you are waiting... maybe you could swing 3 weeks between the notice and the actual interview date. Even that would be better than nothing. I was checking flights to Orlando last night as I'm getting desperate to see my baby again but the air fare is just stupid at the moment.

I decided to ship few boxes of the stuff I just cannot leave behind (like photo albums and professional books) in advance of my move only to find out after I booked everything that the shipping company asks for a photocopy of my passport ID page and visa! Since I still haven't received even my NOA2 all I could do is laugh. Well, most of it is now packed to be stored at their premises until I'm "allowed" to leave. So annoying. Nothing seems to be going the way I want it to. And on top of that my police certificate from Croatia has run out... I was so sure we'd get the visa sorted out within 6 months (as great majority of UK people do). Yeah right  . That should teach me a lesson. Now I have to go and get everything again... It just shows that the saying "Man plans and G-d laughs" is spot on. :)

It looks like another 2 September filers were approved recently but have only just updated their timelines. There are only around 10 of us left (I'm assuming that people who haven't logged in since the end of last year have either split up since or got approved but never updated). I am so hoping that I'm not stuck in security checks as somebody on another thread said they were told it takes 180 days for the security checks to be done. 180 days on top of 190 already?! Not something I like the sound of. :( Hopefully that's just empty fear on my part.

Anyway, enough of rambling... hope you all have a good weekend and that VSC gets on with the "old timers" approvals.

Saw a May and an August filler get approved at the end of last week.. keeping my fingers crossed that your file will be approved soon. Got home from class today, checked the mail, and all I got was my internet bill... sigh no packet 3 today. Checked with Canadapost, supposed to take 5 business days so... soon. Any news today for you?

Hang in there Tanya, theres only so long they can keep you hanging.....its just disgraceful though, you have to wonder what that officer is doing and what his motives are for leaving an RFE case for so long? It should be first come first served, and RFE's should be looked at shortly after they are received back but it seems they are not interested in looking at cases fairly. I'm keeping everything crossed for you that this is your week xx

Hi guys,

sorry for the delay in replying but I only just logged in again. Still flying high...

Didn't think that after all that waiting I'll be this excited but I'm still so hyper... Wooohooo!!!

Thanks for all your support and patience with me and waiting with me. You really are the best bunch of people. (F) Thanks for being there. It's hard for my family and friend to really understand what it's like but you do as you've all been through it.

Hopefully the rest of "old timers" will get their approval soon too.

Fewer and fewer Sept ppl left. By the way how is everyone else's cases progressing?

Thanks Amber. A day later and I'm still excited :).

Sorry about your Packet 3. Have you phoned them to confirm they've sent it? Or maybe you could just send them the required forms as long at they logged your case. What are they playing at?! Hope you get it soon.
