Sept 2008 K1 VSC filers

Its amazing how they take nearly 6 months to approve september filers, then overnight fly through October and November making them typical 4 months for approval?? Its ridiculous, I honestly think there are some of us on here that unfortunately got allocated to some super slow officers who need a kick up the backside....I don't care about all the checks they have to do, it does not take 6 months+ clearly from the number of people they managed to approve in the past couple of weeks.

Tanya/Amber, did you ever contact your congressman?? I know we got a letter a few days after our NOA2 saying we should expect to wait another 5 months (cough, splutter!), but i'm sure the fact that his office called/wrote to them made them fish out our case from wherever it had been dumped.

Good luck, I sincerely hope this your week, Iknow how sickening the wait is. :star:

Couldn't agree more, Kirsten. It's despicable. Talk about double standards. Sometimes I think they do advance approvals just to keep their approval averages low. As it stands, we are now over 40 days over average approval times for UK. And there are still some people from August, if not July who are waiting...

And we did contact our congressman whose staff was very dismissive as we are still within the official processing times (6-8 months) so basically once we reach the upper waiting limit, we should get back in touch. What a lot of b*****ks!!! :ranting: Guess we won't be voting for them any time soon...

Its really not on, especially as you know they have your file, they have worked on it, all they have to do is go over the evidence you sent back, how long can that take??!! And the worst thing is, no matter who you call, or ask to speak to, they all palm you off with the same cr*p so you never feel like you are being taken seriously. It seems the officers are a law unto themselves.

You know, I nearly worte to P Novak, the big boss at VSC. A letter probably wouldn't get anywhere near him but that was going to be my next step!

I just hate the way they hide behind the offical 'May' date.

I havent contacted a congressman yet, from what I have seen I'm convinced its a waste of time. But I am seriously thinking of writting VSC a letter tonite. Im going to use my hello kitty stationary... trying to make it look extra desperate. And I am pretty sure they approve people who filled more recently because outlying data like the December fillers makes their average look better. I never thought that I would be close to joining the 6 month club.... Looks like there are only 3 active posters from September left. This really sucks. I hope my NOA2 comes after 3 weeks like your's Amber but Tanya's timeline makes me doubt that that is even possible. I have done everything to maintain my sanity and not think about the wait but after nearly 6 months I am almost at my wit's end. Our original plan was for me to move after my graduation ceremony in June. Taking a couple of classes at University helped me keep my mind off of everything, and now those classes are almost over, and it feels like the only thing I have to do is to wait for this to be over. On top of that my consulate, the one in Montreal is taking about 4 months to schedule an interview... And that really sucks. Everyone should have to wait about the same time, and these November fillers have been waiting for 2 less months then the remaining Sept. fillers. UGH IM SOO PISSED OFF!!! Well I think that is all I can rant about for now. I just really hope this week brings approvals for us so this thread can move to a NVC and interview status thread.

I thought it's just you and me left :); Amber, Kirsten, Nadya and HG pop in occasionally to cheer us up. Really nice of them. Otherwise it would feel like talking to yourself ;)

I know what you mean sanity wise... I'm holding onto it by a thread... And one day when I actually get to the "having a medical" stage, and they mention mental illness, I'm going to tell them that I was perfectly OK until I had a misfortune to get introduced to VSC! No guarantees since then  .

We are into 7th month now and tomorrow will be 4 weeks since the case processing resumed after the RFE. And not a beep out of VSC :(. I sincerely hope you have better luck Amber, and get your NOA2 without going into the 4th week.

Tonight Purim started... time of miracles... G-d willing, maybe we'll see some NOA2 miracles soon too.

Stay strong. I know the NOA2 will come soon but soon can be so relative... I just try to remind myself that there are lots of people on this site who have been, unfortunately, waiting a lot longer than I but it is disheartening to see all those "speedy gonzales' " rushing past us :(.

It changed on the site as soon as I got the email. Its so ironic, i had just put the finishing touches on my 4 page epic letter and was really upset, just like I was the day for the first touch.. and there it was. I was shaking so much i could barely call Charles. Now we can celebrate when i visit on the 20th. And I for sure will still be an active poster in the sept forum. if it wasnt for u guys id have more grey hair for sure. I totally blame my white hair at 24 on VSC. Also i got my second guardassil shot today.. ouch in the bank and the arm grrr

 You just made my day!

Do you think I volunteered to stay behind?

Oh, you are so funny :).

But you go on, I hate the thought you'll wait for me in AP at NVC. I'd prefer you leave that place ASAP and for me, well, I'll get approved when I get approved. Not counting my lucky stars that it'll happen any time soon. :(

Thanks for all your support guys (I don't have to name you all but you know who you are). You are the best!
